Answer:	I have never put hot water in mine. I don't think it would hurt to put hot water in it. However, it is not insulated enough to keep it hot for very long. If I wanted to keep it hot for very long I would get an insulated thermos or something else.

Answer:	Same happened to me. I received model RC9950GRTB. I called Hayward and they said they cannot help with information on their products (no, really, they said that) and I should consult the website, which does not have this model number. I can find RC9950GRTB on Hayward Canada's site, but no details. I can find RC9950GR on Amazon http://a.co/g7ynugv , but can't tell what the difference is. One thing for certain is what I ordered and what I received are not the same. The item I received is brown/tan with a shark graphic on front--which is also different than the picture of the RC9950GRTB on the Hayward Canada site. In addition to the warranty issue, the model I received is not valid for the current Hayward rebates.

Answer:	If you want to run a shorter cycle, just turn it off when you want it to stop. If there is a tough spot, get out the pool brush... way more effective. I've owned the QC model for many years and really like it. But I can discern no difference in the way it operates when in QC Mode vs Regular Mode other than it shuts itself off after less time has elapsed. On mine, to get the Regular (long) mode, I have to press a button at the start of the cycle, a step that would not be required with the base model. If you don't feel you need the extra two years of warranty at a cost of $63.00 I'd recommend the Base Model.
