My cat ate through mine - the company replied to my comment saying to get a 5mm cable - however the cable we got apparently isn't enough wattage and basically killed the two seperate functions. Likely will have to replace the unit unless the company can provide a direct link to a cable that we can purchase. |

This means that it will have a sensor that detects if it is morning or night time and turns the trap off or on itself. | Answer: | I used one of the replacement glue pads as a template on basic yellow sticky traps. Two discs can be cut from one sheet, and has the advantage of being double sided. Seemed to work just as well. MUCH less expensive and more readily available than the Katchy glue boards. Please understand that my problem was with fungus gnats. If you problem is with some other type of insect, your milage may vary. |

| Answer: | The bulbs are key to the functionality of the trap. The titanium dioxide plate alone is not what attract the insects. It is the reaction caused by the UV Properties in the bulb mixing with the titanium dioxide and oxygen in the air that creates CO2. This is what mosquitoes and other insects are attracted to. |
