First, I’ve never purchased binoculars before but I have used old junky ones handed down to me., so I’m a rookie at this. The first number, 8 or 10, is magnification. An 8 gives a wider range of view and the 10, a closer more detailed view. The 42 is the diameter of the lens in millimeters. Choice comes down to intended use, steadiness of hand, and other factors that can be discovered through a “ How to Choose Binoculars” search. The only 10 magnification I’ve used were the cheap, junky binoculars and, in comparison, these Nikon prostaff 8 x 42’s are phenomenal, way better than the cheap, junky 10’s I had. I am so glad I got these for watching birds in our small backyard.

Answer:	I have 4 traps in backyard and have to clean them out frequently. They catch many types of insects not just bees. I don't count the different pests, all I know it's the easiest way that works to trap all the pests you have in your yard and didn't know you had. I have even seen dead mosquitos. I drink Welch's guava/pineapple flavored juice which I purchase at my local grocery store and also use it to attract the pests. I've tried all other traps available and these traps actually work great. I've tried many others and just wasted my money. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Bought this for son 2 days ago as has a hornet issue at his new house and there is already 11 hornets in it currently. 2 the first day! Not sure why people aren’t having luck as we certainly have. It says to replace every 2 weeks and have read some people used Mountain Dew with luck.

I would not purchase this again, the tall green sticky trap works better. Sorry I led you astray..

Answer:	I never noticed any honey bees or bumble bees in our trap. Not sure why anyone would kill those. The lures (3 different types) that are included are supposed to be for wasps, hornets, and yellowjackets (which is why the trap’s name is WHY. Those are the ones that ruin your picnic. Answer:	The trap should be placed a minimum of 20 feet from known wasps/hornets nest to make sure that insects will find the trap. You also want to place it at least 20 feet from areas inhabited by people to ensure that wasps/hornets are not too close to people. Make sure to follow the instructions on the package.

Answer:	Yes, it could be used inside. The trap does have bait that attracts the yellow jackets. This cotton ball with some liquid chemical could potentially draw insects inside the house (but that seems like less of a problem than having them already in the house).

Answer:	Bumblebees & carpenter bees are similar in appearance but 2 different types of bees so I do not think this will work for bumblebees. Bumblebees do not tunnel into wood like carpenter bees. Carpenter bees are drawn into trap because of the wood & holes in it. I've never seen a bumblebee in my trap. Hope this helps.

Answer:	the trapped bees are the best bait . If you wish to bait the trap knock down a bee and put the dead bee in the trap . hang on the sunny side of building high on corners or peaks for best results

Answer:	About 1/2”. I made bigger holes in it, and blocked up the hole in the bottom. It’s now being used as a bird house. The bees wouldn’t go near it, even with the syrup that goes into the jar.

Answer:	You don't have to empty on regular basis. I have had mine up for two weeks and yet to empty it. It's halfway full of bees. All the bees are dead and yet more bees are still getting caught.
