Answer:	They’re made to be used under the hood of your car. I don’t think they’re fully water-proof to be used outside with no cover.
Question:	Is there a way to to check from time to time if unit is still working
Answer:	No, it won't but the movement of the chickens and ducks will trigger the sensor that it will drain the batteries quickly. This device is highly recommended for use in a closed vacant space that the only movement that will trigger the sensor is the rodent. Hope this helps!

Question:	Can plug this pest control in outdoors
Answer:	well, people do use it for bedbugs. I used it in my car after EVERYTHING else failed, i tried heat x 8 hours a day, i tried Bedlam, Diatomatious earth dust (what a mess) vaccuuuming repeatedly, and finally, i tried this. I put in 1 strip in car body, and one in trunk area, and left car x 3 days and just Uber'd everywhere and then, aired out my car forever prior to using it. HOurs of the windows down, and then i did wipe off essential areas with baby wipes to remove any possible residual hotshot fumes. I read online that many people do use this in place of Nuvan to fight bedbugs, as it is the same ingredients. but, it can not be around pets or people, you would have to entirely seal off entire room, away from rest of home, such as taping over all outlets and vents and air conditioning or heating vents, sealing over any door jambs so fumes from the bedroom can not seep out into the other rooms. You would have to prepare room carefully, by having all drawers open, etc, and i would treat closet to it's very own strip and close that door to closet, and if your bedroom is large? you may need 2 or 3 strips. Then leave room entirely, sealed off, do not go in it at all, for at least a week i'd think. Maybe 4 days is enough? but, if you can stay out of there for a week or two? all the better , Be sure to bring out all your clothing, meds, documents, phone charger, whatever that you might need for that time period, so you can leave the fumes undisturbed for a long time to kill your bugs. Bag all these items that you remove from infested bedroom, so you do not contaminate entire home. I sprayed bedlam in plastic bags and put things i do need to use in there. Wash all those clothes that you just took out of the bedroom that you are fuming, heat those clothes in dryer x 45 minutes, (you do not have to wash them, just heat them in dryer x45 minutes) and keep them in bags until the bugs are gone. I learned that dry clothes do not shrink, who knew? wet clothes do, but dry clothes? do not shrink. good to know. USe clear bags so you can find your stuff in the bags. There are many many many other steps you need to do besides toss a poison strip in your room, but, this answer is too long already.
