So far, my bulbs are ok but I was just checking so I could have backup bulbs when they do go out. The unit works very well and the blue light really attracts the flying insects real well. No problem with the unit just very unhappy about not being able to get replacement bulbs. It will probably be junk without the bulbs.

We tried all kinds of non-lethal solutions. Finally, we located a beekeeper who found the nest, trapped the queen and collected the hive. They are living in a field of blueberry plants happily pollinating. I'm not sure if the last suggestion would work for you, the bees may be visiting from afar. But the zapper should be able to make contact through the grates for wood bees but a bumble bee might be too big.

Answer:	I would screen your chimney. But yes it will kill them the unit would have to be close to the opening. Note this makes a loud pop when a bug gets in the gris. NOTE: Bugs fly in front of the grid but does not get in it. I took a piece of furnace duct metal, cut a square init with a 1" flange sticking out the back , mounted a small bathroom exhaust fan to it. I then mounted the fan and metal plate to the back of the unit. the fan now sucks the bugs into the grid. Makes a 300 to 400 % improvement in bug kills. ( I should get a sizable royalty from the manufacturer for tilling them how to improve it.)

Answer:	I might of had the same issue of not knowing when I bought it. So what I did was I checked the number of BF-35 and then I looked at the prongs and checked if it was the same as the original. It fit perfect and worked well. Not a very scientific way to check but hope it helps.
