Answer:	There is a small internal device that acts as a starter to make the bulbs light up. It sounds like that starter has gone bad. Contact Flowtron and send them the unit for repair.

Answer:	the UV light attracts a ton of bugs at night but day time not so much. The Octenol makes the thing a bug killing fiend but in day time it is lack luster and probably a waste. Every morning it is 100% covered and clogged from mosquitoes and i have to use my data vac to clean it off. I use the 1 acre and 1.5 acre one and both are 100% covered by morning but during the day they hardly kill anything. They work at night well even without the Octenol but it definitely helps to have it. I have terrible mosquitoes here and mine only kills a few so if you are not flooded with them it probably won't do much for you during the day. I have to go outside with bug spray at noon to keep the mosquitoes off -_-

Answer:	Yes, I used this to get rid of a fungus gnat infestation in three orchids. Each plant is in an 8" plastic container -- not sure of the volume. For about 6 weeks, every other watering I removed the top 2 inches of bark and sprinkled 1 teaspoon on the surface. I also thoroughly rinsed the bark that I removed in order to rinse off any eggs or pupae. There never was any larvae because I let them dry out a min of 10 days between watering. Then, I replaced the bark. After 2 months the plants were fungus gnat free. This is the only product I've found that actually works on fungus gnats. I tried mosquito bits which seemed to help control the population but did not get rid of them.

Answer:	I had a Cast Iron plant that had scale pretty bad. I looked all over the Internet for a solution. Various web sites said just to toss the plant out. Answer:	You can definitely apply these to your kiddie pool. You can take it out when the children are in the water if you do not want them handling it. Simply drop it back in when your kids are done playing. We do this at my home with our sons water table.

Answer:	I drop one of these into the water that I collect through my rain barrels. Once my rain barrels/containers that are connected to my downspouts fill up, I transfer the water to trash barrels that I then use to water my outside hanging plants and flower beds to allow my rain barrels to continue to collect more water. Because these barrels are not air tight, mosquitoes can find their way in. This prevents mosquitoes from breeding in the standing water.
Question:	Is this light supposed to be white, I see everyone's lights are blue
Answer:	I think they're designed to solve the problem of mosquitoes breeding in standing water. If you don't have standing water, you don't have the problem these were designed to solve. Some mention putting out buckets of water etc. I believe that's just creating a problem so you can solve it. It's not like this stuff attracts mosquitoes, causing them to nosedive into the water and die. :) Maybe Permithrin would help? If you get the 36.8% concentrate, it's pretty economical and seems to help. I'm in Florida though so no matter how much I spray, they just keeping moving/blowing in. And the rain washes it away. So in the rainy season it's an ongoing battle. As are the fire ants.
Question:	What is the power consumption for this unit
Answer:	Hi I just saw your question, and i have a way these work for my plants. I use gallon milk jugs and put 1/4 of a mosquito dunk in each. For a small sprayer you'd only needed a small piece, but just spraying your plants or the top of the soil won't kill the larvae. You'll need to water each plant with the treated water to effectively eradicate the gnats. I've found that the small piece that I use lasts for a month, and i just write the date on a piece of masking tape attached it to the jug. I'm not 100% sure, but with these being made up of live bacteria, I don't cap the jugs. Idk if they require air, but I don't want to mistakenly kill those. I hope this helps!

Answer:	This unit says it runs off 110V/60Hz of power. My best reply to this question would be that it would vary depending on the amount your zapper would be utilized. So if you have a large amount of bugs that are entering your zapper it’s going to be higher then the occasional insect. Also as to how long you run the unit would determine consumption. Do you only turn the unit on at night, does it run all day? I can’t imagine this being a huge amount of power consumption and I wish I could have a better answer for you, but I really can only say this would vary from customer to customer.
