My best guess is the length of the working parts (grid) perhaps 8 inches long and 5 inches wide. The handle is about a foot long. Answer:	Probably not unless you hold the zapper directly on the leaves for more time than it takes to kill the bug. I'm not a plant expert, but if u see no burn marks on the leaves and your plant looks normal I'm would say you are not harming it.

Answer:	Well..I have smacked/wacked the sides/edges of things I had no intention of actually hitting and its still working. That being said..its not durable. It can handle a few hits (maybe a handful if you're lucky) but I suggest you be accurate in your swings or wait until your target is away from w/e it is you're aiming for. Its a cheap thing and cheap things tend to not last very long. So far its working just fine but I will say that the electric charge takes a few seconds to fall off after you let go of the button. You can get shocked by it. Its not a terrible shock but..you probably won't like it. Hope this helps. :D
