Answer:	I live in California. The covers are thick and well made; however the harsh sun limits the life span dramatically. I purchased these covers back in June 2015 and already they have worn out to the point of tearing and need replacement . If your furniture is in direct midday sunlight all day expect to replace the covers yearly. But that's with just about every cover out there given the same environment.

Answer:	Yes, yes, yes, we have pink and red stains. We bought our teak furniture from Summer Classics, very high end patio furniture. Teak and cushions are stained pink and red on all corners and areas where covers have contact with them. This is ridiculous you buy covers to protect furniture and covers stain and ruin furniture.
