If you're buying chairs, these are decent enough. But if you want to enjoy a beverage while lounging, be prepared to buy a table as well. |

| Answer: | It is a tan synthetic weave. Slightly padded, so they do hold water if it rains. We sprayed ours with waterproofing spray. Nice chairs. |
