Answer:	The straps can be used on the post. Now whether or not that post will be safe to hold up the hammock is the question. Also, the sharp edges of the post may wear the straps quicker.

Answer:	If the post is strong enough to handle the weight, and as long as you have something that will keep the strap from slipping down like a nail then yes you could use it that way.

Answer:	Yes, once there's weight on the hammock the straps will tighten around whatever, I've used elongated rocks, decking, pretty much anything
Question:	Why does it say 2000+ pounds when each strap is rated for 700? Wouldn't that be 1400 pounds
Answer:	Load bearing products are designed with a factor of safety. A ladder for instance may be rated for 300lb but have a factor of safety of 3. The ladder can safely handle 300lbs but it is tested for durability at 900lb. These straps may have an FOS of 1.5 which would be 2100lbs. It's a good selling point showing "2000+" in the title.

Question:	Can I throw these in the washer if dirty
Answer:	Yes, you can machine wash. Then either dry on low or hang dry them. Don't dry them on high because they are made of polyester and can get damaged in high heat.
Question:	I bought the 40 loop but the trees are fat enough that they are about 2 feet short. What can I do to extend them? Can I just buy another set
Answer:	I do that. Also my hammocks have ropes so I use the original ropes to extend on the big tree, and to make it even up.

Answer:	As you can see from the pictures, the other loop begins almost immediately after the first one ends. The approximate length of 1 loop is around 3 inches.

Answer:	I had these straps hanging during a storm, the only noticeable change in hang came from the straps sliding on the wet tree bark slightly when entering and exiting. I did not notice any stretch and it did not noticeably change my hang height.
Question:	How wide are these straps? i was just at a glacier national park and they said that the straps had to be 1" wide to be used within any of the parks
Answer:	I haven’t seen that requirement before, and have used these at almost a dozen parks, but I just measured and they are 1” wide. Also great quality and easy to use!

Answer:	The best way that I can answer this question is to tell you that you should not lay in your hammock while using these straps and exceed 400 pounds of weight. We would rather not tell you how much weight the straps were stress tested under as it can possibly give someone a reason to exceed the weight limit and create an unsafe situation. Answer:	yes, 2 straps plus a stuff sack. does not come with carabiners, same company sells carabiners separately that work great (not rated for climbing, but perfect for this application as they are very light).
