Answer:	The inside of the box is approximately 24" x 24" x 21" which is about 12096 cu.in. which is about 57 gal. liquid or 44 gal. dry. Liquid would leak unless you use something inside to seal it or a place a container inside of it. I would also want you to know that the lid has buckled on mine. I have it on a porch where it is exposed to the sun during part of the day so you may want to be aware of that. I use it to store yard work supplies and bird seed. It's also handy for extra seating or table top. I have the larger chest on a covered porch (no sun exposure) and the lid has not buckled but it is also reinforced differently than the smaller box. I just went outside and measured, the interior dimensions are: EXACTLY 48 inches wide from side to side, but the doors are not straight across, they are shaped like a wave and from front to back the measurement is only 20" at its narrowest and about 22 at the widest.

After I received my storage units and put it together the actual dimensions of my unit's shelf are 29.5 X 10. This was for the top shelf. So, for those whom are curious, go to the local hardware store and get a 6'X10" common pine board and cut to length. Cut out the corners per the recommendation and these will fit very snug.

Answer:	Hi! Yes I have had two people sit on it at about 150 pounds each. I have had mine for 3 years and it is as nice as the day I bought it, it is very water tight as well. I live in New England and leave it outside all winter. I highly reccomend tis product!!!!!!!!!!
Question:	can you safely store pool chemicals in this
Answer:	I am not a pool owner, but I do have this item. We use it to store our outdoor cushions. It closes rather tightly, seems to be water proof, and can be locked, so I see no reason you could not use it for pool chemical storage unless there are regulations I am not aware of. It is sturdy, weather tight, for the most part. That is all I can tell you.
Question:	What are the interior dimensions of the box
Answer:	18.5 W x 38 L x 18.5 deep We got all our life jackets and depth finder in it on a pontoon. Keeps everything dry!
Question:	Is this box suitable for a "Disaster Kit
Answer:	The lid does not secure and will blow open in high wind. Also, I would not put much weight on the lid as it is not reinforced. So the best I could say is: it depends on the disaster and where you intend to keep the box.
