Answer:	When replacing the line, use only 0.065 inch (1.65mm) diameter round line. Other diameters or shapes may degrade performance or cause damage to the trimmer. Unplug trimmer. Remove the empty spool from the trimmer. Remove any remaining cutting line from the spool. Make a fold at the end of the cutting line at about 3/4 inch (19mm). Feed the cutting line into one of the line anchoring slots. Insert the 3/4 inch (19mm) end of the bulk line into the hole in the spool adjacent to the slot. Make sure the line is pulled tight against the spool. Wind the cutting line onto the spool in the direction of the arrow on the spool. Make sure to wind the line on neatly and in layers. Do not crisscross. When the wound cutting line reaches the recesses, cut the line. Fit the spool and cap onto the trimmer.

Answer:	I have arthritis in my large joint of my thumb, and after using this for about 30-45 minutes - my hand is screaming at me. The issue is that you have to squeeze two buttons simultaneously. Answer:	There are at least 2 types of spool/head for the model 21142. I have the old style, all black, where the spool has the bump for the feed built on to it. The other head has a green plastic bump, that is not part of the string spool. I talked to a Greenworks representative by phone, Connie, she was very professional and courteous, but it still took two tries for me to get connected with parts for my older style parts. The older style is considered obsolete, and not produced any more.

Answer:	I bought this item in 2013 and had the same problem today. I disassembled the lower part of the unit (had to take out about 10 small bolts) and found the inside was full of small pieces of brush. It looked like a rat's nest; the brush had probably blocked some of the brushes/contacts on the motor. I blew out the debris with a leaf blower set on its lowest setting. I reassembled the unit and now it works fine.

Answer:	4 amp is all they give you so 4amp times 120 volts equals 480 watts divided by about 750 watts per HP, maybe .64 but a lot of loss so between 1/3 and 1/2, cuts thru stuff like a manic, sliced thru honeysuckle up to 1/2" vines then ran over it with a strong mower n bag to pick up the junk

Answer:	It weighs about 6 pound. It's well balanced and easy to use. I've used it quite a bit, including yesterday for about 30 minutes. It's a nice piece of equipment, solidly built and does a good job. I have hesitancy in recommending it.

Instead, each time you your release the trigger switch and wait about 2 seconds you will hear a click and the two lines will each feed out about 1/4". It takes some getting used to but it works.. Answer:	Yes you can. Winding the sting is not a problem. Putting the spool back into the trimmer is not as easy as your B&D.

Answer:	Don't know exactly (can't get at it to measure right now) but the handle can be extended so it is a comfortable distance so a medium height person can hold it so the bottom (guard and cutting lines) reaches the ground. I would estimate 36 to maybe 44 inches.
Question:	Can you replace the trimmer line with a different line? Instead of buying pre-made spools of trimmer line already wound up
Answer:	It is a dual line and you can get replacements by searching for PA66-G30 which is in the spool. Just bought an extra 6 pack on amazon for 9.99.

Answer:	Trimmer is full size model which is the same as a gas weed wacker. The shaft is straight and the handle is adjustable for different operators. I am six feet tall and Lawnmaster was comfortable for me.

Question:	Do you have to use round line or can you use the maxi edge star shaped line
Answer:	No. It is a 16 inch length of line fed thru the center of the head. When it is depleted, you press a button and remove the used line. Then press the button to insert a new 16 inch line which you cut to size from a roll of regular replacement line. Bump heads and automatic feeds always get bound up and you have to tear the head apart and rewind the line. Big time waster. This works much better.
