Answer: When the battery is in the Charger, the top light only indicates the charger is operational and supplying power to the battery. It will always stay red when charger is plugged in. The bottom light is also red until the battery is fully charged at which time it goes green. The test button on the battery tell you how low or full the state of charge is by indicating via the number of red lights the % charge of the battery. This is so you can get a quick look when its not on the charger. If when charging, the red light fails to turn green after a few hours it 'indicates one off two things; either your battery is shot and needs to be replaced or possibly the charger, itself, has failed. A second known battery will resolve which of the above it is. It always takes a few seconds for the top lred light to come on as the charger must built up enough electrical charge to start the process. The weed wacker from my opinion draws more current from the battery then the trimmer does and it will need to be recharged sooner when used in the trimmer.

Answer: I didnt understand why it wasnt a 3 prong either... I have an old, like 25 or more yrs old I had to stop using because the plug on it started pulling away from the short wire. (the only weak link in this machine that I encountered) I was going to fix it and found a plug .. but with that stubby end and all the yanking etc right there so close to the machine I decided to just replace the machine. The two prong on the machine wouldnt care if there is an extra hole in the socket plug in .. and if the machine only has 2 prongs I guess it doesnt need 3.

Answer: I am almost positive you will need spools for your model because nearly all electric trimmers use spools unless they have some other type of cutter permanently installed and that is just seldom found. I learned that it is easier to buy the spools with the trimmer line installed because it is so time consuming to do it myself and when I am really going good, the self-wound spool won't allow the line to come out and I have to stop and take the whole thing apart and redo the line on the spool. The "bought spool" does not have this problem; the trimmer line just comes off the spool so nicely. It costs more to buy the spools with the trimmer line already on the spool but it so well worth the money not to have to keep stopping and redoing it over and over and over. Hope this helps you.
