Answer:	We added these to square metal post on our Deck, which should be very similar to the pvc posts, we used Builder Glue Adhesive to attach them to the top of the posts, it has been there for past 9 months with no problems very easy to do. This glue is available at any Ace Hardware stores etc. Hope that helps.
Question:	Will these fit on the posts of a rod iron fence 2 x
Answer:	I had to cut a 15 2x6’s square - sand & stain to match my fencing just to put these caps on. They DO NOT fit a standard 4x4 wood post. The screw holes place your screws right on the very outside edge of the wood which will split the wood. Was unable to find ANY solution after spending hundreds of dollars on this choice for our perimeter of the property. However- the lights- are amazing! And the size- is quite a lot larger than I was expecting when I first chose these. I nearly returned all of them except the light choices are great to have & they are brighter BY FAR than a number of solar lights i have purchased over the years looking for a good one for this project. I have one that glitches out of about 15-16 of them and that one somehow has water thats getting inside the lamp part of it. They have only been installed for used for about 5 months total at this time.

Answer:	it doesn't fit on the 4x4 (3.5x3.5) post ... it overhangs about 3/4" on each side which is not pretty at all ... I don't know why they're advertising it like this !!
