Fully extended at max height will feel like twice as much unless you extend your left hand grip on the shaft as far up to the cutting head as you can when raising or lowering the tool. This gives you better leverage. Also retract the shaft when cutting low branches or when trimming limbs.

Answer:	I would use a different type of glue for that. This is for bonding wood. Try something like weldbond for that application.

Answer:	Dip a toothpick or two, in wood glue and put them in the hole. Let it dry and then break the toothpick off at the edge of the hole. Screw the hinge back on and you’ll be set.
