Answer:	The battery do not include.It is 9V battery.
Question:	What is stated about being waterproof? How many feet below water is it rated for
Answer:	I was told by the manufacturer it is only IPS 65 rated. I found this out when I tried to find a target in 6” of water and it immediately started going crazy. I then noticed when I took the battery out it had leaked. It wasn’t in the water for more than 10 seconds when it happened. The manufacturer stated that it is only water proof if you were to drop it in the water and immediately pick it up. In my opinion that is water resistant not water proof.

Answer:	This is a "pinpointing" metal detector. This model has a range of about 4". Based on the wording of your question I believe you will need a true metal detector with a larger coil and thus a deeper field of search. Cheaper ones can reach 4-6" generally some of the higher end brands go much deeper. I recommend you buy the best you can afford if you plan to make a hobbie out of it. If you have a single file d in mind just reach out to a local metal detecting club. I'm sure they will have someone willing to come help you find what you are looking for probably for free or very little cost if it is a high value item.

Question:	Could this locate bird shot in geese and duks
Answer:	No, it cannot! After reading this post I purchased the Dr. Otek over other options, thinking I finally found a solution to finding bird shot in carcasses. As soon as it arrived, I put it to the test, using both lead (#7) and steel (#3) shot placed about 1/2" deep in some left-over chicken. I immediately got a reading and thought I found the answer to my prayers - but I was wrong. The detector is very sensitive and will pick up electrical wires beneath the surface or nails in the tops of table legs, but it did not pick up my bird shot. When placed in the open, the detector registered the #3 steel shot when it was within 1 cm. The only time it registered the lead shot was when it was touching it. I know it was a lot to ask but I was optimistic after reading this post. Now you know and I'll be returning the unit.

Answer:	If the sprinkler heads are constructed with metal then yes. The sprinkler heads I have installed are plastic to operate better and last longer. If that is what you have then no it will not detect them.
Question:	Anybody test the rm ricomax vs dr otek
Answer:	I use both. To me the Rico is a little more sensitive. The rico has row of indicator lights as opposed the a single multicolor on the ortek. I like the rico lights better. The only advantage of the otek, is that is waterproof to 10M. The Rico is waterproof to maybe 4 inches. Rico is not good on beaches. When I got mine ,took it to the beach and it got splashed. Killed it. A good thing I can say about the Rico. When I got home after splashing, I removed the battery and left it open overnight. Lo and behold, next day I installed the battery and it worked. It's a pretty tough pinpointer. I have to retune it more often than the Otek. If I'm hunting dry ground the Rico is my choice. Beach hunting Otek is the one. All in all, the Rico is more sensitive.

The Garrett AT pinpointer is way better. In saltwater, if it falses, just press the button once or twice to reduce sensitivity. The Nokta is great, but on land. I use the Garrett on a long pole while snorkeling to pinpoint targets over 8' deep. I can still feel it vibrate.

Answer:	Most likely not as there are many, many metallic type objects in walls & floors such as nails & screws. The Garrett Pro-Pointer was made primarily for helping to locate objects in soil along with the use of a metal detector. After locating a target such as a coin buried in the ground with a metal detector, the pinpointer is then used to search the hole to exactly locate the coin to help prevent scratching the coin with the digging instrument.

Answer:	yes it will detect gold although, it also detects trash...I use this only after I have identified what it is im digging for...my metal detector is precise...it actually will mask out iron....if I don't find what it is im looking for after finding trash, I will detect the area again....very rare though

Answer:	When washing the device off under running water, yes the unit is sealed, however, there are two small vent holes, just behind the power button which should be covered with your thumb. As for your question, the scanning/detector part of the device can only be submersed in water which is about 4 inches. The entire unit should not go with you to the bottom of the river, lake, ocean, or swimming pool. The device meets IEC 60529 IP 66 dust and water resistance standards. Hopefully that answers you question. If the area in question is bigger than a normal size puddle or pothole just scoop out what you need to scan, place the material in a bucket with some water and power-up the detector...
Question:	I'm a waterfowl hunter and would to know if it would detect steel shoot in meat
Answer:	Yes, but the range you would experience looking for shot in a carcass would be about an inch. The detection range of 3 inches is for metal objects weighing several ounces. It will detect a quarter about an inch or two away. It would be helpful to supertune this detector to get more range. Supertuning is when you hold a washer or any metal object between the butt and the power button, causing the propointer to become more sensitive. Google: super tune garrett propointer. Looking for bb sized objects you may be better off with a pistol pro. This propointer is preferred for finding coins in a hole in the ground, because it is smaller and interferes less with our main metal detectors.
