Answer:	6 minutes on my 1 year old batteries. I use these batteries in other Makita products and they last a LONG, LONG TIME in my driver and drill driver and in my dual battery chain saw (awesome!)But I just bought this blower new and it only lasted 6 minutes on a fresh charge on both batteries. If you read the specs carefully it states on the Makita site that they last UP TO 29 minutes at 15,800 RPM (clever how they decieve you, 15,800 is level 3. On the DESCRIPTION it says 29 minutes on setting 3, no one is running this thing on less than full speed, which is 6! It's pitiful weak on 3.

Answer:	I don't agree with the first two comments. The grass catcher works pretty well. I estimate that 80% of the clippings go into the basket and the remainder end up on the lawn. The capacity is rather small, so you have to empty it frequently. Rather than disconnect the entire grass catcher, I position a plastic tub on the lawn and pull out three or four double handfuls of grass as the bag fills. Quick and easy. The clippings go into the compost bin. The attachment of the grass catcher by the two metal hooks at the lower front end could be a bit more secure. If you bump a curb or hump in the grass, one side may pop off. Tightening the mounting strap a little more than you'd think necessary helps. I'll rig up a clip or additional strap of some kind if that becomes too big a hassle.Update: I used a pair of channel locks to slightly close the opening on the hanger clips and the bag is much more stable. No more problem with it detaching when I bump something or run over a high spot.
