Answer:	The trick apparently is to start screaming that it will be returned. I've worked with circular saws for 45 years and have never had this kind of trouble. As a last resort, assuming I was doing something stupid or missing something simple, I came here to the Q&A section. First, I was reassured that I wasn't the only one with the problem. Then I resolved to try again. Finally, the blade slipped in. I don't know how or why, but at least I know it can be done. It just takes 30+ minutes of struggling.

Answer:	I have both, and I see no difference in power. Certainly more voltage should mean more powerful cutting, but only if the motor is also upgraded to a more powerful one. I suspect that wasn't done. - I've noticed the same thing with the Black & Decker sweeper/blower. I have both the 18 V and the 40 V sweeper/ blower, and the 18 V is noticeably more powerful than the 40 V. The only instance with these Black & Decker tools where I have noticed that the 40 V is more powerful than the 18 V, is the string trimmer. The 40 V string trimmer is MUCH more powerful than the 18 V.
Question:	Has anyone sharpened the blades on this hedge trimmer? Was it difficult? I would also like to know how long it took the blades to dull
Answer:	The best way to sharpen hedge trimmers and other like equipment is with a Dremel tool with their 453 5/32 grinding tool. You really don't need to do any disassembly but you do need to be able to move the blade from the closed to open position. Just grind each face of the cutting surface. These stones are great on bandsaws, too. My saw has a 144" blade on it and I can sharpen all the teeth in about fifteen minutes. Use these stones on hand held clippers and lawn shears, too.

Answer:	The Black & Decker LCS1240 40-volt Cordless Chainsaw, 12-Inch is not electric. It runs off a 40-volt Lithium rechargeable battery. The battery charger and battery are included. The battery charger plugs into any common/standard household 2 prong outlet. When the battery uses up the charge the saw quits. There is no slow, gradual reduction of power. It takes time to recharge the battery. The battery recharges with common 110 household current. Does this help?

Answer:	You must be using B&Dbranded wimp batteries and the cheap charger that comes with the standard units. There are much better third party batteries for the B&D products on Amazon, plus the B&D supercharger is well worth the extra price. The supercharger will charge the third party batteries in about an hour, and you can charge a second battery while you are using the first. That said, I rarely use up the first battery even when I switch it from a task like string trimming to using the blower for clean-up. Admittedly, though, that is because I am a female senior, and my own battery runs out after about an hour--requiring a long rest-stop.

Answer:	It is close to 10 pounds and worst of all, very unbalanced with most of the weight towards the front, where the motor and blade are. Since it does not have a mid tube "handle" like other long reach and pole trimmers do gas and electric, it is very difficult and tiresome to balance. I returned mine and instead bought a 40 volt Ryoby, which can use several attachments, such as string trimmer, edger, pole chain saw and the pole hedge trimmer I needed. Oh, and besides, for some reason they are shipping them with an underpowered, super slow. meager battery charger instead of the faster charger and when I tested mine it actually took over 7 hours to charge the 20 volt battery, whereas my Ryobi 40 volt charges in less than 90 minutes from a full discharge.
