Answer:	Yes, it should fit comfortably if you turn the fire pit so that the legs are aligned with the corners of the deck defender. The fire pit has four legs that form a square or diamond pattern. If you think of each leg as sitting at the corner of the square, the distance between the two on the same side of the square is a bit over 20" and the diagonal distance between the two legs on opposite sides of the table is just under 29" (the distances are with regard to the curved metal legs and would be about an inch less if you leave the leveling legs attached). The diagonal distance between corners on a 26"x26" deck defender will be just under 37", so you should be fine as long as you orient the fire pit legs to sit in those corners. In other words, the footprint of the square the fire pit legs form is smaller than the square of the 26"x26" deck defender.

Answer:	Go to Lowe's (or similar), buy a grill cover (round). It will last a year or so for about $8. The fancy ones last 18 months and cost me $35-40 before I figured this out. The grill covers are black, fairly flimsy, and not pretty, but they do the job.
