Answer:	Depends on how much you burn but lasted about three hours in my pit but I only used two pieces at a time some lasted longer because of the different sizes of the wood .

Answer:	Yes the pieces are about 24 “ so should fit

Answer:	Funny you should ask. We had the same problem, thinking it was the batteries. This happen about a month after we had hung it. My husband figured out that the problem was the nail we hung it on. It must have had a magnetic response to the clock. He put a very thin wood dowel in the wall to hang it on and since we have had no more problem. It is now several months and the problem fixed. It is not a battery problem
