Answer:	I bought a standard base at Home Depot, filled it with sand and it works perfectly. I think the diameter for the rods are uniform so you should be good to go. If in doubt, measure and then head to the store.
Question:	How high is this patio table heater
Answer:	I don't have the measurement but I can tell you I had to remove the plastic sleeve that was inside my metal umbrella base to get it to fit, so it must be on the wider end of the scale-maybe 1 3/4 inches? The umbrella seems good quality so far. I've had it up for a week and it's sturdy and even though the fabric is lightweight it does a great job filtering bright sunlight.

Answer:	This heater is great! I'm sure Amazon stands behind all of their Amazon basics stuff. I just set mine up again for year 2 and could not be more happy. Buy with confidence.

Answer:	It lasts a really long time. On a full tank, mine will last 12+ hours on a mixture of medium to low setting, about 8-10 on just medium

Answer:	Use an electric heater for covered porch. The risk of fire and / or carbon monoxide poisoning if not properly vented or if the unit is inadvertently left on is too high.
Question:	How long does a tank last
Answer:	I know! The instructions are not very clear but if you move it to approximately 9:00 position (marked Hi) press in and hit the ignition, it will start. Hold the control knob in for a while and you will see it start to glow... it may "pop n' spit" a bit but it will calm down shortly. If a windy day keep the knob depressed a bit longer, release; and don't leave it until it a couple minutes. Make sure it is really going before you trust it. If you are like me (bald)... wear a hat, it really throws out the heat when you are close.

Answer:	It came with a hose, but I had to add an ACME fitting (modern screw on fitting for tanks). What I found though was that a 20# tank wouldn't work. If it did, it would have froze up quickly. I imagine a 100# tank would work, but I ended up running a line from our homes 500 gallon tank.

Answer:	It's extremely short. You will have to use an extension cord with it

Answer:	The laws of thermodynamics dictate that the distance you will feel the heat is dependent upon the ambient temperature, as well as many other factors. So, the answer is it varies greatly. Is it -20 outside or 50 degrees in you hypothetical distance question? It works well, but I have yet to try it below 30 degree weather, and that was to heat a garage, not working outside. If you need it to provide directional heat outdoors in super cold weather, you should opt for something with higher BTU output, higher cfm fan, and larger diameter. Works perfect for the garage when it gets below 50 degrees outside though!
Question:	Can i purchase the cover only
Answer:	If the output was not pointed at plants or anything combustable, my assumption would be that it would be safe. It does not have a thermostat.

Answer:	We leave it on setting #1 and it went through about 100 gallons of propane since September, through the cold WI winter. Just topped off the tank this week, and don't anticipate having to check it again until next fall.
