Question:	Will it rust
Answer:	I went to the spec ops website and they only make a 16 and a 25. I bought this one because I never could find one of my other two floating around the house drawers or garage. This one is the best of the bunch. Great quality.

Answer:	So far it has been tuff I use it in a welding shop as well as a wood shop dropped it a few times did not break once set a small steel table on it, it did not break and I love the tape it self I can see the numbers. Long story short no problems yet.

This fire pit is constructed of steel which is susceptible to rust with exposure to outdoor conditions and fire. The unique design of this fire pit can generate heat in the burn chamber that can exceed 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit. While we paint our fire pits with high temperature heat resistant paint, there are no commercially available paints suitable to meet these extremes. With use and time, these fire pits will show signs of rust, this will not impact the performance of the fire pit. The paint can be touched up with high-temperature paint – used on BBQ grills and other high heat appliances and can be found at most hardware stores. The bottom for the fire grate in this fire pit is stitch welded into place to allow the fire grate to flex, which is required due to the high temperatures generated in the burn chamber. The flex can cause the fire grate to look wavy, this is normal and will not affect the performance of the fire pit.

Question:	can anyone recommend a good cover for this fire pit? I've read mixed reviews for the original landmann's cover. Which size should I go for
Answer:	Go to Lowe's (or similar), buy a grill cover (round). It will last a year or so for about $8. The fancy ones last 18 months and cost me $35-40 before I figured this out. The grill covers are black, fairly flimsy, and not pretty, but they do the job.

Answer:	Charcoal yes. Real COAL no. Gets way too hot!

Answer:	I used it the first night with no sand no issues. But I did order 2 five pound bags of sand on Amazon. It said for soil. Worked fine. This is a great fire pit

Answer:	All Milwaukee tools have been made in China for the last decade or so. Maybe it's only been 5 years, but the tools are still very high quality, this tape measurer is amazing.

Answer:	Not too much rust. There is some discoloration, but tolerable amount being raw metal outside.

Answer:	Yes, there's some minor surface rust in the center of the bowl. It's cast iron so that's not a surprise. It doesn't affect utility; for me, it's not a problem.

Answer:	My DB 9 fits perfectly. What holds the gun in place is a heavy duty spandex fabric. Might be tight for regular. 38 but if S&W makes a compact model, it would fit fine.

Question:	I opened and assembled, started a fire and the copper bowl turned black. I was excited about the copper look but really dissatisfied
Answer:	It's cast iron, so a protective layer of rust when it's outdoors is a certainty. I don't know if this would work but perhaps you could 'season' it, the way that one seasons a cast iron cooking pot: coat the bowl with vegetable oil and heat it up, preferable a relatively low heat, 300 degrees or so. That should coat the iron. I don't know how it would hold up to rain. I just let mine by rusty. Oh, to get rust off, I'd recommend an angle grinder with a stiff wire brush head. Good luck.
