Answer:	The firepit is very shallow. You can use wood, but not very much. We actually ended up buying a different one with a deeper bowl so we could burn wood because this one was so small and ended up giving this one to a friend. Question:	Will 18" wood fit and burn in the Venetian
Answer:	15-16 inch logs work best but up to 17-18 inch will work.
Question:	If i keep it covered when not in use how long can i expect to have this chiminea? I got about 8 years out of my cast iron chiminea
Answer:	Not sure a cover is important, but won't hurt. Aluminum will not rust. We keep it under a roofed pergola when not in use. I have cleaned and repainted the exterior with a heat resistant stove spray paint because I didn't like some white oxidation that happened after the first year. Still looks (better) than new if you ask me. I believe the grate is cast iron which shows a little rust. I think over heating would be the biggest culprit to failure which I see no signs of. Also the aluminum will not react to the acids in wet ash like cast iron. With a touch up to the exterior every few years, can't see why it wouldn't last longer than your last. Hope this helps.
Question:	Is it possible to make pizza in this

Answer:	I wouldn’t recommend it. I tried using it to protect my deck from the heat from a little rocket stove. The wood didn’t catch fire, but it did leave scorch marks.
Question:	Can this be used under a wood stove in a canvas tent
Answer:	I would never put a wood stove in a canvas tent, and I would say no.
Question:	can this product protect a new trex deck from being scraped or scratched from a heavy umbrella stand outside all year
Answer:	I dont know about that. I bought the pad to act as a heat shield under a Smokey Joe/jumbo Joe on top of a plastic table.i never noticed any damages to the table but what you are asking about is considerably larger and heavier.
Question:	Will this fire pad work to protect grass under a propane fire table
Answer:	Yes, the FirePad also protects grass. Keep in mind, there must be at least 4 inches of space in between the bottom of your fire pit and the FirePad. The FirePad is not designed for direct contact with the bottom of a fire pit or grill. It's also important to note that grass burns at a much lower temperature than a wood or composite deck. If you will be using the FirePad on grass, you will likely need the larger 36" size
