Answer:	Yes, it should fit comfortably if you turn the fire pit so that the legs are aligned with the corners of the deck defender. The fire pit has four legs that form a square or diamond pattern. If you think of each leg as sitting at the corner of the square, the distance between the two on the same side of the square is a bit over 20" and the diagonal distance between the two legs on opposite sides of the table is just under 29" (the distances are with regard to the curved metal legs and would be about an inch less if you leave the leveling legs attached). The diagonal distance between corners on a 26"x26" deck defender will be just under 37", so you should be fine as long as you orient the fire pit legs to sit in those corners. In other words, the footprint of the square the fire pit legs form is smaller than the square of the 26"x26" deck defender.

Answer:	Its an empty concrete vessel that you pour fuel in. We couldn't find alcohol so we bought small cans of Sterno canned hear - ethanol gel. Works great but the small cans only burn for 45 min, I think the alcohol would burn about the same time. We only use ours for a short about of time (for s'mores), so this works great for us.

Question:	What color is the metal
Answer:	It is a very dark brown color (almost black) with some copper color showing through. I love it...actually them, as I bought two.
Question:	Can i remove the included candle and substitute it for an led candle with a brighter light
Answer:	Yes, you can. There are three small screws on the bottom that hold the candle in place. Just remove them, and the candle comes out. I replaced mine because I had a complete set of led lights that work with a remote. I love this lantern!

Answer:	propane does not give out carbon monoxide..that is why you see propane driven forklifts inside warehouses

Answer:	I used fire glass and it works fine. Sand I’m not sure about. The inside of the column is hollow, which houses the tank.
