Answer:	I've got my 18" Burner Ring covered with lava rock and a few ceramic logs. Using a 20# propane tank with a 10# adjustable regulator, I can set the flame to be anywhere from 6" to 36". However, the the higher the flame the faster your going to run out of propane. I've found that with the flame set at about 12", we get adequate heat and we can spend about 6-8 evenings (1-2 hours) on the back porch before i have to refill the bottle.

Answer:	You should use a high pressure adjustable regulator (0 to 20psi). Low pressure regulators are for gas grills and only supplies enough gas for the small flames of a grill.

Answer:	The pan is 2" deep. The lip around the edges are 1-1/4".

Answer:	Yes, you can use lava rocks. Lava rocks are about 1/2 the weight of fire glass so you'll only need about 20 lbs. of lava rocks. Another option is to use lava rocks as a base, then cover it with fire glass.
Question:	Can you provide a blueprint or diagram on how it should be vented with propane gas? I have the contractor building the fireplace indoors in my living
Answer:	I recommend you hire a local NFI certified installer to do the installation of the venting and burner. They will know all the local building codes and how to install the venting to adhere to those codes and provide the safest operational environment for your fireplace. We do not have a standard blueprint for venting as it needs to comply with the local building codes.

Answer:	Mike has provided the complete answer. I just want to add a little more detail to his recommendation. 1. The air mixer valve should be 90,000 BTU's. (Search B01MTU7BKL on Amazon to find this product) 2. Search Amazon for a "high pressure adjustable regulator" - there are several on Amazon in the $20.00 range (make sure it's high pressure and adjustable). 3. The 3/8" to 1/2" connectors are NPT (National Pipe Thread) standard - this is a tapered thread standard for gas connections. You'll need this to connect the adjustable regulator to the air mixer valve. It's best to bring both parts with you to Lowes or Home Depot to find the right adapter. 4. The 1/2" Meridian Blue tempered fire glass is by far our most popular color/size. (Search B01MDOO2VD on Amazon) The pan drops into your fire pit / table opening and is secured by its own weight. There's no nuts or bolts needed to fasten it in place. The opening should be about 1" larger than the pan size (instructions are included with the pan).

Answer:	Instructions say no. We have a ventless and there is a lot of soot/staining around the fireplace. A lower BTU burner should be used for a ventless.

Answer:	Yes, you may. As you probably know, ceramic logs do burn down and out and have to be replaced every 3 to 5 years depending on use of fireplace.
Question:	Some H burners have pans underneath. Is there a benefit to that style
Answer:	I think it depends on the installation. I've seen burners with pans used in tables and installations where there is either no support or combustible materials. My burner is sitting on pea gravel so I'm not using a pan. Also, you must account for drainage if using a pan

Answer:	The handle is attached by two screws from underneath. It can be taken off; however, you'll have the two holes in the lid where the handle mounts.

Answer:	There’s a couple of things could be the cause of the sooting. While it’s difficult to get rid of sooting completely with propane it should be very limited. 1) How much fire glass do you have over the burner? Too much fire glass could cause the gas to be dispersed over too large of an area preventing all of it from being completely combusted. Limit the amount to just enough glass so the burner isn’t visible. 2) Is it windy? Wind blowing the flame around can cause incomplete combustion also. Do you notice this during times where the flame is affected by breezes? A flame guard greatly reduces the effect of wind on a fire pit. 3) What is the typical flame height you have when using your fire pit? If the gas is too high this can also cause incomplete combustion.
Question:	Does this fit over a Solo Stove Bonfire
Answer:	This lid is 22" wide with a 1" lip. I'm not sure the specs of the Solo Stove Bonfire - their website shows that it's 19.5" so the cover will be a couple of inches larger than the Bonfire. You may want to measure your Bonfire Stove and determine if it'll work for your purpose.

Answer:	I think the requirement for the vent depends on your local regulations, not necessarily on the type of H-Burner. For example, as far as I know, in California all gas fireplaces need to be vented. However, this burner is of a good size and produces a strong flame, I would think it would be best to have it installed in a vented fireplace, regardless.
Question:	Do you need a pan underneath for a fireplace installation? And is the air mixer all I need for propane fireplace
Answer:	I can't address the propane question as my install was natural gas. A pan is absolutely not necessary. Some may chose to use a fan depending on the configuration or media you choose to display your flame. I did not use a pan...I laid the glass directly over the bar and bottom of the fireplace.

Answer:	The bottom of the burner has a male 1/2" threaded connection. The box contains the burner and the pan. You will need to purchase a flexible hose to connect to your valve.

Answer:	Sand will hold moisture so it is not recommended to use that material - pea gravel or lava rock would be best.
Question:	Does this burner work with natural gas?? Also, any recommendations on an inexpensive valve and ignition kit
Answer:	these are actually for natural gas, if you use propane the holes in the fire ring would be smaller, cause the pressure difference between nat gas and propane.you can find the valve keys like the ones you use on a fireplace to adjust the flame and to open and close the gas line, they also make all weather electronic ignition systems, but those run like $1500 just for the mechanism that lets you turn the fire pit on with either a switch or wireless button.
Question:	Can I use propane tank from my bbq
Answer:	You will want to purchase an air mixer for this item if you are using propane. A standard 20 lb tank would work for this item.

Question:	what size is the connection fitting
Answer:	It is 1/2" NPT (measures about 3/4" outside diameter of the threads). The flared portions are 3/8" flared (hose without the adapters).
Question:	Can this be used with lava rock and mica and rock wool with ceramic logs
Answer:	I don't believe this will work for you because it's not designed for the burning embers look that the rock wool creates. For the burning embers you need a burner insert designed for it as the embers require a small amount of gas directed into the rock wool / vermiculite to fuel the ember. I recommend you look for an entire insert set which includes the logs, grate, burner, igniter and pilot light.
Question:	When on medium to high, I hear an air noise, burner works fine, any idea how to fix or reduce the noise
Answer:	You likely need to install a regulator as it may be the line pressure is above the recommended pressure. The pressure recommended for this burner is between 3" to 5" WC. I recommend you have a licensed gas specialist look at it to check the pressure and make sure your installation is safe.

Question:	Could it be mounted to a composite (trex) table top? If not, what if a flame-retardant material was used like a gasket between the Pan and table top
Answer:	Yes, should not get very hot since the flames are in the center. You can even have a air gap between the pan part and the hole you can make 1/2 inch bigger
Question:	Does this come with everything that is pictured? Igniter, hoses, and contol panel
Answer:	What you see is what you'll get. Mine also came with a couple of 1/2" adapters and an orfice (not pictured). You'll have to get a low pressure regulator and hose to connect to your propane tank plus an adapter to adapt the hose to the burner. I'm considering mounting a separate on/off valve.near the burner. I don't have mine hooked up yet (still cutting my granite table slab).
Question:	What type of table top material can this be mounted to
Answer:	I’m fabricating a concrete table top which will work the best for what I’m doing. Or you could use 3/4 plywood and apply a tile.

Fire Pit Pan & Conctrol panel & Ignition Installation and Operation Instructions

1. STOP! Read the Gas Cylinder, Important Information and Enclosures sections before attempting to light this appliance.

2.BEFORE LIGHTING: Smell all around the appliance area fbr gas. Be sure to smell next to the floor of tlie firepit because some gas is heavier than air and will settle in the base of the firepit.

3.Light a match and place it just to tlie top and outside area of the Top Burner Plate.

4.Slowly turn the manual gas valve to the "OPEN" position. The firepit burner should ignite between 0 to 3 seconds.
