Answer:	Not familiar with electronic saunas but these are lava rocks and seem like the real deal. Works great with direct gas flame.

We recommend a minimum 2" of fire glass depth for most installations. For example, a 25" diameter fire pit at the recommended 2” of fire glass depth: 25 X 25 X 2, divided by 24 = 52 lbs. Width X Length X Depth, divided by 19 = pounds of fire glass needed. We recommend a minimum 2" of fire glass depth for most installations. HOW TO SAVE ON THE COST OF YOUR FIRE GLASS

Lava Rock is inexpensive when compared to fire glass. You could use a one inch deep lava rock layer to initially cover your burner pan. This will reduce the glass depth needed by one inch. This can be applied to any fire pit or fireplace, no matter what size and make a considerable saving over the cost of using fire glass throughout.

Using lava rock as a base material does have a single draw back. It will cause some soot build up on your fire glass. So periodically you may need to remove your fire glass and rinse off the soot. Be sure to allow the glass to completely dry before placing it back over the lava rock.

Answer:	I know this is 3 years late, but as long as there are no additives to the rock, which this product does not have, it is safe.

Answer:	No - they're chunks of gravel about the same size as aquarium rocks. Crushed lava rock, black - designed to look like old ashes and dead embers. Nothing spectacular about them...they just cover the fireplace bottom and gas pipes. On top of these, you add those fiberglass pieces which glow when heated to look like hot embers.

Answer:	Lava rock is amazing as substrate ignore all these people lol. It's amazing because it's porous thus increasing surface area for beneficial bacteria plus being light weight which seriously helps your stand and back lol. They are provide good aeration minimizing pockets of gasses or anerobic conditions. However I do not know if this brand has any sprays or coatings to their rocks. Sometimes they will be fumigated. As long as they are natural it's a good choice for aquariums and plants

Answer:	1 bag gives you 1 square foot “12 inches by 12 inches” 1 inch deep per bag. I would say 17 to 18 bags.

Question:	How much area would 20 lbs cover if it was 1" deep
Answer:	My firepit is 19.5" diameter and 1.5' deep and it took about 30 lbs of glass.
Question:	Can this be used in propane gas indoor fireplace
Answer:	Yes
Question:	It prevents our igniter from igniting, seems like it blocks flow of propane and also creates a spark barrier. What er we doing wrong
Answer:	You can't have any glass blocking the igniter path. just put something over the top of that and then you could put the glass on top. I used a piece of heavy aluminum foil around it, and then put the glass on top.
Question:	Product: 1/4" caribbean blue reflective glass. how is it packaged? bag or jar? sharp shards? glass splinters
Answer:	The glass comes in a heavy paper bag, similar to charcoal for the grill. It is mostly 1/4" sharp edged pieces, but there are some smaller shards in the mix and it can be messy working with the glass. It looks really nice in my firepit and has held up really well. If I were to buy again, I would try to find less-sharp, rounded glass pebbles for the firepit.
