1) Measure the width across the center of the firebox (in inches).

Question:	How many pounds of glass do I need for a 35 x18 x 2 gas fire pit
Answer:	Hi, the formula for a rectangular fire pit is length x width x planned glass depth / 20. So, for your fire pit, the calculation would be: 35 x 18 x 2 / 20 = AS MUCH AS, BUT PROBABLY LESS THAN, 63 pounds of fire glass. I would recommend buying 4 or 5 jars of fire glass, each of which contain 10 pounds of glass. I'm suggesting 4-5 jars instead of 6 jars because your planned glass depth is probably not as high as the depth of your fire pit. (Generally, you want to aim to have no more than 1 inch of glass covering the gas/propane burners.) So it's probably safest to start with just 4 or 5 jars. With Amazon, it's really easy to order an additional jar or two if you end up needing it, and it will arrive in just a couple days. Question:	How do you store this when not in use? Will it withstand the weight of snow/rain under a furniture cover
Answer:	I purchased a square version. Glass just like the one you are referring to. I had no issues with rain while the cover was on it. If we got a lot of rain I would just go out and tip the cover a bit to get the rain off of it. I don’t know how well it would do with snow. I put my outdoor fireplace away for the winter as I live in the Northeast. I hope this helps. KC
Question:	Can you get replacement clips
Answer:	I broke one of the glass panels and contacted the shipper. He was extremely friendly to talk to and sent me out a new piece right away. I’m sure if you contacted him he could either get you clips or point you in the direction of where to get them.
Question:	Do the rubber feet melt? Wondering if I should get metal feet
Answer:	I don’t think metal feet are necessary. I would think it would slide on the table. The rubber feet keep it stationary. No melting noticed.

Question:	Do you need to clean and rinse the glass off before using
Answer:	Yes, the bag contains a lot of glass dust. It also has some smaller glass shards that I would recommend disposing of, as you don’t want them to clog the gas ports. I dumped it all in a bucket, added water and a small amount of Simple Green and swooshed them around with a wooden spoon. Didn’t have to rinse. Then I took them out with a clean gloved hand and put them on old towels to dry. They are Beautiful!! Enjoy!

Answer:	No they do not. Safe as can be
Question:	Would mixing 2 colors be a good idea
Answer:	Hi Pamela, Mixing 2 colors? Sure, why not! I don't know what application you have in mind, but I used the blue fire glass in my rock garden to imitate water and for a pop of color in my desert landscape. I found the fire glass to be a very versatile medium. Hope this helps.

Answer:	You can get wood pellets ar any fireplace store, or home improvement store such as Lowe’s or Home Depot. I believe Walmart also carries them. Go with 100% hardwood.
