Answer:	Check that your batteries are charged to 1.5. If you don't have a way (voltage meter) to check, try brand new batteries that are new off the store shelf. For the sync-up process, the batteries must be 1.5 or better. It's the #1 problem we see.

Answer:	All outdoor sensors should use Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries. Alkalines will freeze, rechargables start at a max of 1.4 v and drop to 1.2 v fairly quickly and do not like extreme cold. They do not work in Iowa winter. All my external sensors use AA Ultimate Lithiums and last the entire winter, even at -15 below zero F. I change them out every Fall.

Answer:	If I may say, you might want to reconsider a product from LaCrosse. I have had an s85814 weather station for about 3 years and it currently serves as the night light in my bedroom. It never worked and LaCrosse wasn't much help. The temperature outside was always off by close to 20 degrees. Don't do it, you'll regret it!

Answer:	It sits a bit lower than some kayaks, so there is a bit of drag. It does well on lakes, rivers are good as long as it’s not flowing super fast. Because it sits lower it’s more stable than some that sit higher. It is very comfortable and easy for one person to load and unload. Over a good value for the price.

Answer:	The top well opening goes directly into the hull. You would need a separated container attached to the opening. The manufacturer may have an add-on bag or maybe find one that fits at a sporting goods store or online.

Answer:	The maximum channel number is 8, so you could have 5 on one console and 3 on the other.
Question:	I have acurite model 782. it says it uses 433 mhz signal. this outdoor sensor says it uses 433 mhz. but, i cannot get it to work. anybody
Answer:	At the beginning all 5 of my sensors were very accurate in both temperature and humidity. One year later one outdoor sensor failed on humidity readings and was replaced under warranty. Both current outdoor sensors show too high humidity readings, the deviation is way more than 5%. Indoors sensors also show higher humidity levels than they should, but the deviation is not that big. I have a higher end temperature/humidity meter and use it for calibration. One year ago all my sensors and the meter, brought in one location, showed about the same readings. It is not the case anymore. I live in Pennsylvania, where humidity levels are often 100% or close to it. Most likely high humidity damages the sensors, even 60% indoors humidity affects them in a negative way. It is a pity, I really like this unit. Maybe I should get replacement sensors or stop relying on humidity readings...
Question:	Does this model have the abc channels? my current sensor has that and it no longer works
Answer:	The USB device that shows up is the bare STM32 (STM electronics microcontroller) "HID" device, which is what shows up on the "non-programming" USB port of an STM32. What this means is that they wrote the code for the device to interact with their windows software, and that means that there is an API, but it's closed source, so no idea if it can be reverse engineered. It's possible that someone with an oscilloscope could see what is happening during the handshake between the windows software and the device when you start the software... if someone were so inclined, and write something in python to accomplish the same handshake and API. Unless it's encrypted, but i doubt it, at this price point.

Answer:	Can’t speak for Perception but bungees are easily changed if the color bothers you that much. Actually you can personalize your kayak by changing out the bungee or perimeter lines with different color cords.

Answer:	The seat does not rise, it sits flat on the bottom. It does have a bit more thickness than normal. The only adjustment is the back of the seat. You can make the back lean back a small bit or be straight. Not sure why it is described as adjustable. Not much different than my cheaper viper, just a little more padding and the back of the seat is a bit higher.
Question:	What does it mean when the sensor shows 'll.l'? I assumed this meant a low battery but I still get the same thing after putting in fresh batteries
Answer:	I have the 11.5' model. It does not have a rudder. The Express also had 14.5 and 15' models. All three appear to have the retractable skeg but no rudder. The website described them as "rudder capable" whatever that means.
Question:	Does the remote sensor have to be placed outside
Answer:	The Skeg Box is open to allow the blade to easily deploy and retract while on the water. Sand and debris will usually on collect here if you are dragging the kayak to/from the water (please do not drag your kayak). Anything collected in this area can easily be rinsed out as well.
