Question:	Replacing batteries on a roof-mounted unit is a pain. I have power there, so can it be modified easily
Answer:	You can convert "anything" battery powered to a AC converted application. Just match your voltage and amperage and seal the hole wire comes through. Easy. Just find a wall wart to match, solder additional lead wires, as required for length. Heat shrink the soldered connection. Given the 4 AA required, and I don't have this unit, my guess is something 5-6 volts with about 800 -1000 mA would work, just check the stats on it.
Question:	I know the manual says batteries in the display are for backup only, but does anyone know about how long it can survive on batteries
Answer:	I bought mine in 2016 & just had to change the batteries today 2/28/2020
Question:	What is the maximum distance between the outside unit and the display? Does the sensor need to be in the shade
Answer:	The distance is 330 ft. However be careful where you place the display from the station. Walls and other things can weaken the signal. It depends on what your house is made of. My house is primarily wood. The signal has no problem reaching the other end of my house (about 150 ft I believe). Also don't place the display near computers or radios or other electronic devices. It can cause interference with your station. Now the outside station it self is does not need shading. I actually recommend you place the station as high as possible (like on a pole on your roof, if you can't, place it no lower than 5ft-6ft from the ground) This ensures that your wind readings are accurate. The thermometer and hydrometer sensors are in the sensor and a internal fan circulates air past the sensors from outside, allowing the temperature readings to stay normal in the sun. Also make sure that station is in a wide open area with nothing around the sensor that could block the wind reaching the station. Typically I would say 50 ft from obstacles but I'm not sure how close. A lot of writing a know but hope this helps you!

Answer:	Not sure what you are asking as the clock would be the same for both inside and out...the bigger unit sits inside either on wall (with batteries, I believe) or on counter plugged in as I have it...the other unit goes outside in a shady location to relay outside temp.

Answer:	I want to return mine also because the temperature consistently reads higher than true temperature. I am disappointed with this purchase because I have had other Thermpro items that were fine. They have not answered my emails. I have no way to check the pressure against the unit so I cant answer your question, but temperature has never been correct.

Answer:	Neither. This requires the 915MHz TX-4B sensor, which are not yet available. From ThermoPro customer service in late November: "Unfortunately, you will need the TX4B sensors which are currently unavailable, we expect to have them available towards the end of December."

Answer:	How? I haven't figured out how to yet. The directions it came with were very basic.

Answer:	I doubt it. But why would you? Strategically position your sensor so it is not being blocked from rain or wind, but close enough to connect to base (and base to internet).

Answer:	Yes and if you connect online the reports will be there also.
Question:	How high of a wind gust will the unit read
Answer:	Since the numeral values is 0-99, my best guess would be 99 MPH.
Question:	Does the weather sensor require a wired connection to the display console? In other words, do I need to drill a hole in the side of my house
Answer:	No. no drilling required. It will need an outlet (110) to plug into. Easy-peesy! The Bluetooth capability keeps/is the connection. BTW, I really LOVE mine and the range of just under 500 feet for communication.

Answer:	Changing settings (time, date, etc) is all done through the "Set" button on the front of the unit. Hold it down for a few seconds until an item on the display starts blinking. You can change this item using the up and down arrow buttons. Press Set to go to the next item. When the hour blinks, change it to the correct number. There is an AM and PM number available for each hour. For example, if you set the hour to 5 AM and you want 5 PM, continue changing the hour setting until 5 PM appears.

Answer:	I know it has three channels. And I had mine set on the wrong one at first. I don't know where you would get the extra sensors.
Question:	I just got mine today and the. Light on the sensor for outdoors doesnt stay red, only for 1 sec. Does it mean the sensor does not work
Answer:	The red light indicates a signal is being sent to inside unit. And it only sends a fresh signal every 20 to 30, so it will only light for a second at a time.
Question:	How can you switch it from Celsius to Fahrenheit
Answer:	Hold the right side down for a second on the light bar on the top of the temperature read out.

Answer:	I'm on my second Elegiant thermometer and there will not be a third. The outdoor sensor never worked on the first on and it worked for three months on the second one. I would warn people not to purchase this item and I won't buy anything of this brand again. I do not have a red light anywhere.
