Answer:	It will link but I have no experience with it. I have the Sig Kilo2200 which is great for ranging. I dont feel I need to link. Take the range, input it to Kestrel, and fire. The Kestrel will link with Kilo2400, but I have not used it.

Answer:	I don't know about safety of the probes but I can say that the outdoor sensor functions poorly in low temperatures.
Question:	What transmitter range can this deliver? I need about 250ft
Answer:	Clear line of site, probably 100-150'. Walls, trees, floors, can greatly reduce that distance, especially if there is any metal or stone involved. Normal house, probably 20-40', greater to an outside sensor (50'+) only going through one wall. Really depends on location and battery strength. Use fresh alkalines for max distance.
Question:	Is the remote display supposed to stay on ? Mine keeps going off and I can't seem to turn it back on
Answer:	There are switches in each transmitter that you use to indicate which number it is assigned. I also mark the outside of the unit with a sharpie so I remember which one is which.
Question:	Can you tether this so it doesn't end up in your skimmer
Answer:	Yes, it displays both the indoor and the outdoor by cycling through them. It does not display both at the same time. So, you have a wait a few moments for the display to change to see both indoor and outdoor. I believe this model can handle up to 3 or 4 outdoor sensors, so if you have more than one it will cycle through all of them.

Answer:	No, my Kestrel 3500, bought several years ago, does not show Density Altitude, and the certificate of conformity provided by the manufacturer, for all models, and available on line, shows that Density Altitude measurement is provided for the series 4000 and higher model numbers.

Answer:	Yes, I did it. After a lost argument with LaCrosse because their packaging says all over the place "10 ft probe" while it is only 6 ft. I needed that 10ft length, since I am using the transmitter at the end of a lake pier, with the probe dropped in the water, where water level can vary by 6 or 8 ft. You will have to be careful in your soldering, cover it generously with liquid tape, and tolerate a slight error in reading. It works great. Charlie 21
Question:	I have an outdoor hot tub located 200' from a ws-1400-ip base station in central alaska. will this unit work with the base down to 0f
Answer:	Cannot find WS-1400 among the compatible base stations for this probe on the ambient web site or either manual. Zero degrees for the probe is no problem, but 200' is a bit distant for the transmitter. I've been lucky to get 75'. Have also found the transmitter not to be too weather tolerant.

Answer:	To answer question number one about replacing it 5n6 I'm not sure about that unit but the 10B I believe it can but I want to discuss my experience with the ws10 overall unit versus the ambient 3000 which recordes data in The answer number two the f007tp has a solid plastic plug for a sensor at the end of that wire. I have been busy since I purchased the 3000 unit that records data and since I bought the WS 10 unit that seems to be a cheaper version and from my experience comparing the two units side by side the WS 10 is not as accurate as I see it about 4 to 5 degrees difference higher and lower then the 3,000. I've been doing some troubleshooting to see why the difference as I calibrated both units side by side with their thermometers and humidity in it and they were all the same when I got done and I put them in their locations and I put some sensors of each unit side-by-side in various places and they're not recording the same. I haven't had time to call Ambient to talk to him about what I might be doing but from what I have formed my opinion off the data that I've collected so far I think your way money had to purchase the ambient 3000 unit that record the data with an SD chip versus buying the ws10. What my plans are is when I get caught up I'm going to post my information but first before doing that I'm talking to ambient about what I'm seeing with their units. And I just thought about the WS 10 unit with the wire that comes off in probe that you would stick in to a refrigeration unit or freezer which I'm using it for. I found out it's not very accurate in a freezer or refrigerator versus the 3000 and also when I compare it to like a Dometic Refrigeration freezer combination unit that I have versus what the the Dometic digital temperature gauge for the refrigeration and freezer unit shows and I thought there was something wrong with the Dometic Refrigeration freezer gauges but after sticking the 3,000 in next to the W S10 unit which is that 007 unit you were asking about I found out there is a big difference and the 3000 Compares closer to the Dometic versus the ws10. So I'm not sure if it's something to do with how often the ambient sensors read or send the data from the thermometer to the control panel so them are some questions I have for ambient. My questions kind of lengthy but just thought you should know. Hope this helps some.

Answer:	No large time / time on the floating sensor. The WS-24-C, WS-50-C, WS-110, WS-11 have larger AC powered displays.

Answer:	Not sure what you are asking but I bought mine to use with the F007PF floating pool and spa thermometer (which shows the temp on the sensor in the pool) If you want to know the outside temp you have to use F007T or F007TP sensors which have a digital readout of temp. This is just the monitor
Question:	I'm looking for one for my unheated barn. How far down does the indoor thermometer go
Answer:	The indoor unit (WS-14-C) range is 32 to 140°F. The remote unit (F007T) range is -40 to 140°F with lithium batteries, -4 to 140°F with non-lithium. The wireless range is 150 feet, 100 feet under most conditions. I'm using 2 remotes to monitor the outdoor temperature and the temperature near the water pipes in my garage. Works great! specs listed per mfg manual

Answer:	No. I put tiny labels on the bezel, BY = Back Yard, G = Garage, etc.
Question:	how long do the batteries in the console last
Answer:	The batteries do not last very long. When the display is first activated with new batteries, the display is OK, but within 24 hours, the display was so dim that you could hardly see it. This may have been faulty unit. I sent it back and got a refund.
Question:	can you use two ws-10 monitors to be able to follow temperatures from two spots? The WS-8 has that ability
