Question:	Will this unit retain the highest wind gust of the day
Answer:	Adhesive is on the rear so they are placed outside to the weather however these are well made and have held up well for me mínimal fading and not pealing or cracking so far
Question:	Does the Atlas display wind chill as well as dew point
Answer:	These are very high quality vinyl stickers. They actually stick to the glass with adhesive, but they are removable (just one time). Once you remove them, you would not be able to attach them again, but the stickers are so cheap that you could always buy more if you want to attach another one to another window. Hope this helps.
Question:	Has high definition touchscreen display backup batteries in case of a blackout
Answer:	I have had some on windows in full sun for 2 years with no evidence of fading. They still look like new.
Question:	when will the lightning sensor be fixed? It shows 100's of lightning strikes when it sunny and clear, and I am using Alkaline batteries
Answer:	The adhesive is on the back side, so they're made to go on the outside. But you could probably use pieces of wide, clear, packing tape to stick them to the inside of the window without making them look too fake.

Question:	Can i use 2 separate display consoles with the ambient weather ws-2902? i'd like to see readings in 2 different areas of the house
Answer:	I have two display consoles and it works great. One upstairs and one on ground floor. I can see both on-line and on phone via app. I set alerts in case HVAC issues, which is great benefit as well. I ordered WS-2902A-CONSOLE-KIT which is what you need.
Question:	Can it only be line of sight
Answer:	Wireless devices transmit a radio frequency (RF) signal, generally in the 400 – 900 MHz range. The manufacturer will rate the maximum transmission distance as line of sight. However, the signal will transmit through walls and other obstructions. The following is a table of reception loss vs. the transmission medium. Each “wall” or obstruction decreases the transmission range by the factor shown below. Medium RF Signal Strength Reduction Glass (untreated) 5-15% Plastics 10-15% Wood 10-40% Brick 10-40% Concrete 40-80% Metal 90-100% RF will not transmit through metal barriers. If you have aluminum siding or a metal roof, it is unlikely the RF signal will transmit through this barrier. RF will not transmit through earth. For example, if the receiver is placed in the basement, and the earth or ground is obstructing the line of sight transmission, it will not receive the signal. Interference can be an issue. In general, wireless internet, phones, security systems and other low power devices have little interference effect. Ham Radio and other high power applications may lose data when transmitting. Helpful Hint: Wireless phones transmit at similar frequencies and power levels as wireless weather devices. If you have a wireless phone (not a cell phone), place the receiver where you would place the weather station receiver and attempt to use the phone where you would place the transmitter. Question:	Is the outdoor sensor "hi quality"? I have had 2 Acurite outdoor sensors electronics fail in a 1 Yr. I am a full time Rv'r / camp in any weather
Answer:	My Accuwrong failed in the 13th month and support from Accurite was horrible at best. I had an Amibeint for over 10 years but the ws 2902 is not working, they sent me 3 replacement units all with the same issue, NOT TRANSMITTING.
Question:	What differentiates this from higher priced options like the ws-1002-wifi? Software connectivity doesn't matter to me. Are the sensors lower quality
Answer:	No, they are of equal quality. The console on the WS-1002-WiFi is much nicer with multiple screens and TFT display. This is LCD with color film. The WS-2902 is a very capable unit.

Answer:	the detail information says it's set by "intelli-time". That is NOT the atomic clock in Colorado, so NO, it's not an atomic clock setting.
Question:	Does this device require internet access? Does it pull in data from a weather service
Answer:	Does not require internat nor receive info from weather service. You hang a wireless sensor outside, this sensor communicates with the unit inside and give you pretty accurate info. Future weather is calculated internally using barometric pressure readings, not really reliable but useful if you lose all other sources, like in an emergency. I use mine mostly for outdoor readings that are easily viewed. I would buy it again.
Question:	I know the sensor can be mounted nearly anywhere, but can the weather center be wall mounted
Answer:	You have the option of wall mounting or setting it on a desk. You have to be careful when wall mounting and place it in a position to where you can see it dead on and nor at an angle.
Question:	How long is the cord if there is one
Answer:	I just measured and it is approx. 5 1/2 feet. The cord was a little curly and hard to measure but it was a bit over 67 inches. Hope this helps!

Question:	the model numbering confuses me: this 2000 model seems to have more features, better screen than the 2902A that Amazon also has? any other differences
Answer:	The only external antenna terminals are for AM. You say "dipole", so it sounds like you want to listen to FM. On the other hand, even though the FM antenna is only 22.5 inches long when fully extended, the review here indicates that it works better than the longer antennas of other portable radios (ref. - https://radiojayallen.com/c-crane-cc-3-cc-2e/). All that said, I would rather not take a chance and, instead, get a radio with the same 5 star FM rating (on RadioJayAllen) that has an external FM antenna connection. You can check out the others, but I do own the Sangean HDR-18 and it is a great radio for distant reception on AM and FM. But, it only has one speaker. If you want stereo, you would connect to the REC OUT jack and run it into amplified stereo speakers.
Question:	If a portion of the Osprey goes bad, can it be replaced, or do I have to buy the whole thing? For example, the rain gauge goes out
Answer:	The CC Radio 2E comes with a Power Cord: AC 120 Volts 60Hz.
Question:	Does this weather station sample the peak wind speed every second, and then transmit the data every 16 seconds? Will it record a 3 second wind gust
Answer:	People buy 5 or 6 hundred dollar phones and spend a hundred or more on service - that isn't 'free.' I have a dumb phone so my listening is via radio. Nothing will replace an over the air radio in my mind so the one time cost is not a big deal for years and years of listening.
Question:	Can I buy a extra screen and have both connected to the sensor? I want one in the house, one in my work shop
Answer:	NO , EVEN THE CC RADIO 2 E AND CC RADIO 3 HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM .

Question:	Is the clock etc. backlit for reading time etc at night
Answer:	Whatever, the one I have is very dim and I can only view it by holding it. The thing says it has backlight, the manual says it, but it's not a feature. It also has a button "Signal" on the back that is not explained anywhere. It seems to work well enough, but it's impossible to read the screen in most places I have put it or hung it up.
Question:	How "weather resistant" is the sensor
Answer:	The manual suggests that the sensor can be out in the weather, as long as it isn't in the pouring rain. AcuRite sells a protective unit, here on Amazon, for a reasonable price to protect the sensor from full sun and rain and snow. Use Lithium batteries if you have it out in weather colder than 40 degrees (F). Right now it's 44 degrees on my patio in southern California.
Question:	Is the back flat so I can hang this on a wall
Answer:	Yes, the back is flat and it has a recessed hole in the back so it can be hung on a nail or screw. Once hung, it sits perfectly flat against the wall.

Question:	Did somebody figure out how to display data from sensors ## 6, 7, and 8 on a console? It only displays sensors 1 to
Answer:	The batteries in mine last about 4 months. For me that means once a swimming season, whch I consider quite acceptable. They are standard batteries and there is no provision for recharging on the sensor. That would reuire some kind of port to plug in and would compromise water-tightness. I suppose you could use rechargeable batteries but my experience has been that they do not last as long between recharges and sometimes put out slightly less current, so I wouldn't do that. I keep my display unit plugged in so I can't comment on battery life there.

Answer:	The weather station does a great job. It shows everything it's supposed to. We only have the pool floating device, so it displays the pool water temperature and the air temperature. We love ours.
Question:	I need 16 sensors in the same area... I want to buy 2 sets my question is if the 8 sensors that are with the one screen interfere with another screen
Answer:	Make sure the channel selections on the different sensors are different, reset them, and then try the Connect button on the display unit. You might have to reset that as well. The package was a real pain to get working, but it does eventually work.

Answer:	It us not. It is plastic but looks really nice. Might be like a plastic wood kind of.

Answer:	It is really quiet. Hardly can hear the ticking sound. I'm using the clock in the church's sanctuary and it makes no noise.

Answer:	Both the sensor and the weather station have batteries. No alarm on this one. Maybe others have one. I love it. Mine was a present from my kids last Christmas. Question:	Is the operational manual worth the paper it is written on. I bought a Meade weather station and could never figure out how to get the time to work
Answer:	the time is automatically set. It has what is called an inteli time (Not exactly sure that's what its called) feature that automatically sets the time date and daylight savings time. But if it does not work for some reason, the manual is easy to understand. I fact I have other products I got regarding weather are from acurite. Two stations and a weather radio, all easy to read manuals, including this station. Actually I did not even need to read the manual half the time. The station is easy enough to set up its essentially effortless. Unless you are trying to find a proper place for the sensor. But overall its easy understanding manual to read and easy to set up the station. I doubt you will have problems with the time. If you do I will be surprised, this station despite how cheap it is not bad. Mine has been surviving for 4 months in a tree outside my house, no issues. Also the indoor display is rather accurate. The station itself is actually designed to become more accurate the more you use it. So it may be inaccurate the first couple of days but after awhile it gets the forecast rather good.
