Question:	can you place it in refrigerator
Answer:	Absolutely. It comes with a bracket and a sticky square for mounting. Also comes with a nylon loop that can be attached for hanging. I just have mine sitting on one of the fridge shelves and it works fine.
Question:	Does it report battery level? Or have a low battery level alert
Answer:	There is a battery level indicator on the home screen, when the battery gets very low it turns red. I don’t remember for sure but I think I got a low battery alert in my iphone. You don’t need to worry much about the batteries, ( these units are amazing). We have a smart home with a dozen or so govee sensors in all the duct work, attic, and every room. All have been in service over a year now. The unit inside our dehumidifier often sees 50f, and the units in the attic, and inside the furnace often see over 100f. We did have one mini mounted inside the dehumidifier intake that drained it’s battery every two days. Govee replaced that unit, ( they have great support). All the other units display battery levels over 3/4ths still, ( after a year of constant use), ps the things are dead accurate, ( both temp and humidity), more so than the other half dozen brands I tried. I do get temp and humidity alerts when any room sensor goes under 73f, over 80f, or over 60% humidity. But unfortunately the alerts aren’t automated yet thru our Alexa, ( on my wish list, lol). Currently we can only automate temp control only with our echo, (has a built in thermostat), but nothin with regard to humidity, ( humidity control is not incorporated via Alexa yet). Bottom line,,, I wouldn’t worry much about the battery life, ( it’s awesome). Currently if I get an alert, I just tell alexa to ‘heat the house’, or ‘dehumidity the house’ ( from anywhere on the planet, and thru our GMC truck, or my iphone, lol ). Pretty cool. PS, definately go with the wifi versions, (way better).

Answer:	This WiFi thermometer is non-waterproof, please keep it away from rain and direct sunlight.
Question:	I received mine today. I dont see how to set a temperature range for which to receive alerts. The app is simple, so where can i find this function
Answer:	Once you have connected the unit to your phone app through Bluetooth touch the settings wheel in the upper right corner of the app. One of the settings allows you change the alert criteria (and turn the alert function on) for temperature, humidity or both.

Question:	Is it possible to connect more than one app/phone to a single device
Answer:	I have the app on three different Android devices. When one phone is connected to the sensor, other phones do not show the Bluetooth indicator to the left of the battery indicator and do not show the current temp. When I leave the first connection alone, the sensor gets disconnected eventually, and other phones can access the sonsor. It takes me about 20 seconds to access the current temperature and about 30 seconds further to load one day worth of data.
Question:	Can I create custom alerts for temperature variation? For example: notification every time there is a 10ºC variation during the day

Answer:	Govee Team's answer is generally correct. That said, I've been using a Govee H5074 for two months this to monitor the temperature of a small refrigerator in my car (typically set to 34° F/1° C), and it has worked very well despite having to transmit through the metal refrigerator case and the steel car body. I routinely check it from 10-20 feet away; I haven't tried any further away than that. Now, maybe I'll have to swap batteries every six months. But this little device works so well (thanks in large part to Govee's well-designed iOS app) that I'll cheerfully pay that price if I have to. They do make a more robust weatherproof model, H5041, but it costs more than twice as much and uses a plug-in (120/240 VAC) Wi-Fi router. As an RVer, I try to avoid anything that can't run on 12 VDC. But the H5074 doesn't even need that--it's self-contained, and only needs a smartphone or tablet. It suits my needs perfectly.

Answer:	You need to open the battery compartment, take the plastic off the battery and hook it up.

Question:	Does this work with Wink
Answer:	Wink does recognize some multisensors. I am running a Wink 2 hub and have connected some non-certified sensors, both ZigBee and ZWave. I have not tried these sensors. The Wink system is very simple and I have replaced my Casa Verde with the Wink (I was using both and Casa Verde had a plug in that worked with the WInk hub as well.
Question:	How fast should humidity reflect reality? Took a shower 40 minutes ago, humidity is normal in bathroom now, and device just reported it is still
Answer:	Depending on the reporting threshold you have set for the sensor, it would change as fast as 3 minutes after the threshold is met. So if humidity threshold is left at the default 10%, it will need to decrease by 10% or more for the sensor to report the change. If it only changed by 9%, it won't be reported so if you're looking to monitor humidity closely, we recommend changing the reporting threshold for humidity to 2-3% for more frequent reports.
Question:	Does this also work as a z-wave range extender
Answer:	Battery operated devices, such as this, will not work as a range extender since the radio is off most of the time or turns on and off.
Question:	Can this be used outside
Answer:	I've been using mine outdoors. Mine is mounted high under the cover of the front porch and I use it to notify of outdoor activity and to turn on the outside lights at night when there is motion. This motion sensor is slow to respond, day or night, if it responds at all. I have the same issue with the other two that I use indoors in bathrooms.

Answer:	This is a nice little product (and I am very happy with it), however, the way it works is very unclear. After playing with it for a few frustrating hours, here are a few tips that may help others: Unlike a lot of other devices, the only way to send info to the device is with Bluetooth. That is why you need to be connected via Bluetooth to a) set up the device, and b) to get real-time (instant) data (temp and humidity) from the device. Once you have connected to your WiFi network, you can access data (temp and humidity) when you are out of Bluetooth range over WiFi (or you turn Bluetooth off on your phone), with the following limitations: 1) The data is not "real-time". The device can only send data to (not receive from) Govee's servers (the app retrieves this data from the servers), and it only does so at either 10 minute or 30 minute intervals, depending on how you set the device up. The reason for this limitation is twofold: 1) The app cannot send a "request for update", since the the design is such that sending data from the app over to the device over WiFi is not possible, and 2) even though it would be technically possible for the device to be constantly sending data (temp and humidity) to the server, it would drain the device's batteries very quickly. When your phone is out of Bluetooth range (or you turn Bluetooth off on your phone), the app will show the following cryptic message: "It may affect the reception and synchronization of the data if the Bluetooth doesn't be turned on". What this message should say is "The device must be connected via Bluetooth for setup and to receive real-time data." When setting up your WiFi network on the device, after you select the network and enter your WiFi password, and press done, a message will display (briefly) in the lower portion of the screen. If WiFi setup was successful, the message will say "Succeed to connect WiFi". What is should say is "WiFi connection successful". The WiFi indicator on the main screen is also somewhat confusing. Whereas the Bluetooth symbol is only shown when the device is connected via Bluetooth, and the Battery indicator shows the correct battery charge, for some reason the WiFi indicator is always on, whether or not the device is connected to a WiFi network. As far as I can tell, there is no way to know if the device is connected via WiFi, other than to turn tour phone's Bluetooth off and see if the temp and humidity get updates every 10 or 30 minutes (depending on your setting). I hope this helps at least a few people with this very nice device.

2. If you cannot connect your device to your home WiFi network, it could be one of following issues:

1) Wrong password. Make sure that you entered the correct WiFi network password and try again.(Pleasenote capital letters and blank.)

2) Is your router compatible? If your router is a dual-band router, for the first time setup, please make sure your smartphone and the H5051 device are both connected to the same 2.4 GHz WiFi network, otherwise you will not be able to connect the device and your smartphone. Please kindly note that the H5051 device cannot connect to a 5Ghz network（NOT SUPPORT 5G WIFI). Temporarily switch off the 5 Ghz network on the router to connect the device to 2.4Ghz network.
