Answer:	The plate on the mower says, 'made in China'. But to me, the engine LOOKS like a Briggs and Stratton engine. It is 196 cc, which I believe is a size made by B&S. Maybe just a coincidence. It has its own oil reservoir... no putting oil in the gas. The only odd thing I noticed is that it doesn't appear to have a manual choke (to help get it started). I have only started it a dozen times since buying it and there have been no problems with that. Using the 'pull' or electric, no problems. It is winter here and I have only used it to mulch leaves. It did a great job at that... good power in heavy leaves. As for sound levels, it seems to me that it makes about the same amount of noise as any gas powered mower. I cannot tell any difference from my 10 year old Poulan 22 inch, recently retired.

Answer:	I was having new gutters installed and ordered the Rain Chain Gutter Installers. They turned out to be too wide to fit the new 5-inch gutters. The gutter installer told me to take a couple of the spikes that attached the old gutters to the eaves, cut the heads off and lay them in the bottom of the gutter, passing them through the top of the rain chain. Free, simple and effective. He also said that the through bolts on the commercial adapters block too much of the opening and cause clogs when leaves fall through.

Answer:	Sorry...cannot rate this issue as I have not yet experienced torrential downpour that might cause splashing but even in a hard rain, shouldn't be a problem as the rainchain is not close to the walls of the house.

Answer:	You can hang it up, but it would most likely be more of a decoration than a rain chain. The gutter guides the rainwater into a chain (and into a barrel, if you have one). Without a gutter, unless you get really torrential downpours, it wouldn't collect much rain water

Answer:	Only if the canales have holes in them to use the hanging hook or separately sold installation kit. If not, then this would require a custom solution, which some people have fashioned in the past.

Answer:	This serves as a downspout for a gutter. If you don't have a gutter, you should normally not need this. But if you have rain water falling freely from a roof edge, and it is concentrated at one spot, you could attach this rain chain there to reduce the splattering.
Question:	Does this one attach to canales, the roof drains for flat roofs
Answer:	It's about 3 in on top and 2.5 on sides. I was going to post a picture but I couldn't. It's a nice rain chain, captures the rain flow.

Question:	Can you shorten the chain
Answer:	You can either use the hook that comes with every chain, or purchase our gutter installer (we only have one kind). Either will work, but the gutter installer provides for a better looking installation, as well as better guiding the water toward the chain. But either will work.
Question:	How do you shorten it? I can’t get the hooks to fit through the holes
Answer:	I have the half-round gutters, and the gutter man just drilled a hole in the main gutter, then attached the chain through the hole. The chain has a little v-shaped clip on the end that he used in the gutter hole, and the chain hangs down from there. I also needed extra length, so I bought an extra chain - the links can be opened and attached to make the chain longer. I hope this helps.

Answer:	I have two lengths joined together for my set up, so you will be fine. They are joined and when I connected the second length to the first I just cut and bent one of the loops. It is still holding but if someone yanked on the chain it may come apart where I connected it.

Answer:	The gutter clip is not flexible to put up from the bottom as I remember. I gave mine away because of this problem with my gutters

Answer:	Yes, it comes with a metal "V" hook. We also sell a gutter installer, which would replace the hook for a superior installation, but the hook is adequate to hand the chain from most standard gutter downspout holes.

Question:	Is the top flexible so it can be pushed up into the gutter opening? I have a closed gutter system and need to go from the bottom up
Answer:	I've only had it up for a couple of months but here in the Pacific NW we get some heavy duty rain and so far it's holding up well. It's really pretty when the rain run off is coming down the chain and and makes the colors in the Lotus flowers sparkle. We'll just have to wait and see what it looks like in a year or so.
Question:	Does I need something extra or just this adaptor and the rain chain
Answer:	Standard rain gutter hole. Can be rectangular or round, about 2 1/2" on the round and 2 1/2 x 3 1/2" on the rectangle. Has a copper plate that will cover pretty much any size opening in a gutter. I needed to use my metal snips to slim the long side of the adapter plate mentioned above to get the plate to sit flat on the bottom of my gutter. You may have to trim your gutter opening also, caulk the plate in place, then the copper cone will just slide into the adapter plate. Ours leaks a little bit around the cone, and I could caulk that too, but we are fine with the little bit that doesn't follow the chain! I'd get another one if we needed to. Great product.
