Answer:	The "mirror" is a clingy sheet that you stick on the inside of your window. Instructions say it doesn't matter which side you stick on to the window so I have no idea how that works as being 'one-way mirror". It is very disappointing that this was not mentioned in the details as this item is advertised as a a "One-Way Mirror Bird Feeder". It isn't, it's a see-through bird feeder that you can maybe fix up your window in order to make it difficult for birds to see through into your home.

Question:	How do these hold up in sub-zero (F) cold
Answer:	I have only had this product since April and I have not gone through a winter yet with them. In my area it doesn’t get below 0 so I wouldn’t be able to answer that question. I do know that the suction is very strong and has made it through some very strong windstorms (60-70 mph). I am very pleased with the product and have 4 of them on my 4th floor windows holding bird feeders.

Answer:	does the siding have any kind of texture? If it's smooth and flat, the suction cup *might* stick, provided the surface is clean. Mine is stuck to a window and it holds a hummingbird feeder. It's very strong and I haven't had any problems with it falling down.

Answer:	Yes, I have the adapter and it works well. The mounting flange is useless with the adapter and I also only used 2 pole sections so I could reach the feeder for refilling. I wish Erva would offer a shorter, cheaper set here for this purpose.

Answer:	Thank you for your question. This type of pole is for mounting a feeder or house with a plate that gets screwed onto the bottom of the house or feeder. It's not one that you would use for hanging. You would want to try something like a shepherds hook if you want it to be free-standing. We also sell brackets that you can use which can be mounted to a deck rail or wall.

Answer:	When I bought the pole I also bought a double sided bird feeder from heritage farms it came with the pole in the box. We just happen to put it up this past weekend. We are so pleased with are purchases. We got a coffee can and some concrete filled the can then put one piece of the pole to bury it, we used a level so it was straight the we planted the can in the ground. Then we finished putting it together . It look great. And before you knew it we had lots of birds at our new feeder.

Question:	If looks like this baffle pivots, which would allow squirrels to drop onto larger bird feeders underneath. Can the baffle be fixed somehow
Answer:	The baffle and the feeder below both move with the wind and in the case of our small feeder squirrels cannot just drop onto the feeder after sliding off the baffle. Since I do not know your exact situation I really cannot know or guess how baffled your squirrels will be. The baffle will pivot due to the fact it is just hanging. If it was on a pole I suppose you could make it so it would not pivot as much by using washers that were made tight because the baffle does have a hole in the center through which you could put a pole through and not use the hook. The hook in the picture is not stuck to the baffle. It can be taken out.
Question:	What is the diameter of the opening of the hook on the top
Answer:	The hook is actually double ended. By that, I mean the hook has loops at both ends. One is larger and one is smaller. Mine are all currently hanging so I am not going to take them down to measure them but, in the absence of a better answer, I will venture a guesstimate of about 1" on the small end and about 1.25" on the larger end. I use the large hook to actually hang the top and the smaller end is under the cover to hook to the tube feeder. I never take down the cover itself except to clean it. If I take down a cover, I will measure it and edit this post. Hope this helps some.
Question:	Can squirrels chew this? Also, if they can jump to it, will it break
Answer:	I have a similar one. Some can jump almost 4 feet and go over mine. Never seen them chew it but mine is very sturdy cause one squirrel jumps 10-12 feet from tree and lands on it and falls. Takes a beating but works
Question:	If hanging a birdfeeder, how do you set up the hanging baffle on top of the feeder? Not sure how to securely set this up via hanging
Answer:	There is a hook on top of the baffle that connects to the installation point. Under the baffle there is a hook where you connect your birdfeeder. I have three and they work perfectly

Question:	i want to put this on a patio/cement. Would it be stable if placed in an umbrella stand
Answer:	I don't think so. Most umbrella stands cannot tighten enough to stabilize the pole particularly with it becoming top heavy when you attach a bird feeder or bird house to the top.
Question:	Couls I attache a weather station to this? Is it steady enough
Answer:	How large is the weather station? We have a bluebird house attached, however I believe it is steady enough to support a 12" x 12' platform bird feeder also. Ours is working great, but we have also sunk a small section of a 4x4 into the ground..attached a flange and inserted bird/feeder poles for more durability. It just depends on your soil.
Question:	no directions came with this...anyone have step by step instructions how to put this pole in the ground? Nothing seems to be working right for me
Answer:	The three poles get assembled/screwed together. The threads should guide you which ends to screw together. The flat base attaches to the top for the feeder/house to attach to. Attach the flat mount to the bottom of your feeder/bird house first, then, attach the mount to the three poles once you have the pole in the ground. The skinny rod is to screw it into the ground. Attach the screw to the bottom of the pole and put the skinny rod through the hole in the pole. Set the pole where you want it and start turning on the skinny pole. A level helps to keep the pole straight. Screw it down far enough so it gets a good grip into the ground. Put the flat bracket/birdhouse on the top and you are ready to go.

Answer:	The 5" is the length from the top hook to the bottom hook. The 10" is the actual diameter of the hood itself that would be protecting the bird feeder or whatever one has hanging from the bottom hook.
Question:	Does this provide good shading for a hummingbird feeder
Answer:	Hi Chelle, I use the Humzinger type feeders, so the hook part is so long, it doesn't provide much shade. I use it more for rain protection. If use use the bottle type feeders with shorter hooks, I believe it would work very well for providing shade. I hope my answer helps. Pam
Question:	I received my weather guard today. he hooks are screwed together so tightly that Icannot get them apart. is there a trick to this? sooo frustrating
Answer:	I finally had to put mine in my husbands vice and use a plyer to loosen it. Turns out the screw was rusty! : (
