Question:	Is there any water leak from bottom after running for a while
Answer:	The person who indicated this would heat the water has no understanding of the product and should not be answering questions. This device is a pond deicer used only to keep tiny hole open in the the ice to allow for the transfer of gases out of the pond. It will NEVER heat a pond no matter how much electricity. It ONLY turns on when the temp drops below freezing and off again once a few degrees above freezing. It only can generate enough heat to maintain a hole slightly larger than its own body. DO NOT BUY FOR A POND HEATER - Only as stated to use as a pond deicer to allow gas exchange.

Answer:	Thanks for your message. It sounds like you have had some bad luck on items that last other consumers decades. There are some inexpensive deicers on the market that are cheaply made and have a reputation for failing. However most deicers are very well made and last for many many years. I suggest either the Farm Innovators (except the PS200) or the Easy Pro brand. the one in this listing is a submersible deicer which sits underwater in the shallow edge of the pond. you still need to protect the area from high winds which can freeze the water almost instantly at very cold temperatures.The way to test a deicer is to put it in a plastic bag in your freezer for 1 hour. Once you take it out plug it in and it should start to heat up immediately. It was learned the hard way over many years that most customers who claim to have failed deicers just dont have it set up correctly. When they are forced to do the "freezer test" before they are allowed to return a so called defective unit they suddenly realize that it really does work and they finally admit that they did not really do all those suggestions in the instructions like they swore they did the day before. In summary, dont buy a $30 deicer and expect it to work more than one season, set up your unit correctly or ask for advice from your dealer, and if you have any doubts the unit is working pop it in for the freezer test. You will find you will enjoy many years of use out of most units on the market. Best wishes

You can turn the solar panel off and leave it in the sun for 2-3 really sunny days to try and boost charge the batteries. Answer:	I would check with the seller (they should send you another one) or manufacturer but is there room for you to clip off the crimped part so the water flows through.

I am able to observe my fountain most frequently in the afternoon, so I cover the solar panel so the water doesn't evaporate and leave the motor humming without water. Then when I go outside to sit, I uncover the panel. If the sun is on it, the fountain starts immediately. Using mine for the second year...I love to listen to the sound.

Answer:	I had to make an extension cable so the solar panel could go up on the roof. I use my own connectors, RC power connectors.

Answer:	I would think so. Mine is mounted sideways in a basin underneath a concrete ball that pours water. It works well in bright sun. It might make small waves.

Answer:	Mine was pulsing right from the start. Looking at the impeller on the pump it seemed to turn fine, figured it was the solar panel. Connected two AA batteries to the pump connection and pump started working. So it’s a bad solar panel.

Answer:	Has anyone been able to reach to seller? The solar pump on mine just died after 7 weeks. Voltage from the solar panel is 12VDC on one side of the pins and 28 VDC on other. That leads me to say the pump failed. And no we never ran it dry and we always had clean water in the 5 gallon bucket.

Answer:	I dont empty any of my outside fountains in winter. I have 4 outside fountains. However, I live in Califonia and where I live doesnt get that cold. I would think it depends if you live where you get freezing temps. The water in the bottom could freeze and crack or break the fountain at the base. So depends on the temperatures where you live. The water bubling over the fountain wont freeze because its moving water but the water in the base is still. That would freeze. Hope that helps

Answer:	NO! It's solar and operates on water! I've had this exact model for almost a year and it just stops if there isn't enough water. If your dog drinks the water or it gets tipped over it just stops. If your model is still running without water it's defective.

Answer:	I have this in my office waiting room and yes, it does splash. We actually placed a protective covering under all the plants and the waterfall. Without that the carpet would get wet. The more water the more splash. We use it for white noise which it provides but I would prefer something more soothing and less powerful.

Answer:	Mine splashed water on my stone floor in my sunroom. I went to Lowe's and bought a plastic tray that a washing machine fits in and put the fountain on that in the corner. No problem since.

Answer:	If the fountain is outside, the wind will tend to blow some water out of the fountain...Ive notice on a calm day I don’t have to add water, but if the winds blowing, I do, more wind, more water...you will always need to add water to some degree, whether form splash over, or just evaporation...it’s not a closed system...

Answer:	I plug the fountain pump into an outdoor GFI so the fountain is on all the time. I plug the lights into a timer so the lights come on and go off at the times I set the timer to. I've had this fountain 3 plus years and it is of good quality. I use only distilled water and give it a good cleaning once a year. I hope this is helpful.
