Answer:	Oh it is, it’s so chunky thick that it’s heavy! The fabric is a cotton jersey type but thick. And it’s very tightly stuffed with batting. It’s very sturdy. It’s approximately 2 inches thick I would guess? I saw myself but this is not something that I would want to take on. Nice size good purchase. It just took forever to get here is all.

Answer:	Mine is a 6x9 and it has a jute backing so it definitely is not machine washable, but it is olefin fabric, so it should clean very easily....I sold carpet and managed a carpet department so I am pretty familiar with olefin. I love this rug. It looks even better than expected and I love the coloring. You would have to ask the manufacturer, but I suspect the runner is also a jute backing.
