Answer:	I wish I could give you an accurate answer but I have 2 sets of these chimes. (In different keys) the first set I bought 25 years ago and the last set a couple of years ago. I have never needed to repair either of them. They are very well made. But....if you lived in a gusty area where they were banging about constantly (24/7) then I suppose it might be possible that something could happen. The Grace Note company can be contacted directly and I am sure they could advise you if a repair was to be needed.

Which notes/what chord is this chime

Answer:

All the necessary notes are in the chimes. It's by pure chance that they may hit the notes in the right order - or an act of God. My wife believes in the latter and seems to assemble the correct order in her mind when hearing the random notes. I guess if you were musically inclined you would be able to strike the chimes manually and play the tune. This may not sound like a serious answer, but my wife thinks it is.
