Answer:	Yes
Question:	Will it work for sunflower seeds
Answer:	Our mix is Sam's brand, a (40 pound bag), mostly sunflower seeds, even has broken peanuts and some fruit in the mix so sunflower seeds are no problem in ours. This feeder don't have to be removed from it's hanging place, just push the button to raise the roof and pour the seeds in. Ours is 1.5 years old and in Fla and is still fine.

Answer:	The tray doesn't get wet when it rains. I have lots of birds when it rains. I like this feeder better than any other one I have had.

Answer:	There is a closed loop so a hook is not needed, but it really depends on where you are hanging it. The tree branch my feeder is on is very thick, so I use a hook. Answer:	This is probably the best feeder I have for keeping seeds from getting moldy. I use it for golden safflower and it dries out quickly if it gets wet or snowed on. The tray does have plenty of holes but is shallow so sometimes there is a small amount of build up of wet seed to wipe off but very easy to do.
Question:	I have a problem with morning doves eating the safflower seed that I put out for cardinals. Does anyone know if doves can sit on this feeder
Answer:	Carefully wire the mesh up so that the sitting area is shorter. I did this , little by little, until I got to the height that the morning dives could NOT get on the feeder. Cardinals and smaller birds can still easily feed. Also use safflower seed which eliminates alot of unwanted birds!

Answer:	Or.....you can put a squirrel feeder for ears of corn nearby so the squirrels have some place to feed.
Question:	Does this feeder work with mixed bird seed? Or only with black oil sunflower seed
Answer:	No. I only use it for black oil sunflower seed. If you use mixed bird seed then the seed will all fall out from the large holes.Several times the squirrels will climb onto the top and tilt it but the sunflower seed will not fall out. Also, it really is squirrel-proof cause the squirrels can only get one seed at a time since the top locks.I love this feeder - it is the best for all birds!

Answer:	Hello, there is a small hole at the bottom, about 3/4 inch, but it also holds the anchor to the lid. I don't think this would work on a pole. But a great bird feeder!

Answer:	It will stand only moderate winds. My reservations about this bird feeder is that the perch on which the birds stand is too narrow.

Answer:	I am assuming freeze dried meal worms. Could not use them unless you ground/broke up the meal worms. This is made for small birds that eat small seeds. A few large sunflower seeds can slow it down.

Answer:	Absolutely. They're determined. It took birds about 8 months to find the feeder and less than a month after that, the squirrel invasion. I almost did a spit take the first morning I found a squirrel folded up and chowing down in the feeder. Hazard of loving birds. I posted a video for your enjoyment. I don't hate squirrels, I just thought they would knock down the feeder with their weight, which hasn't happened yet.

Question:	My seed contains peanut halves. Will they fit through the opennings
Answer:	I don't think so. I imagine the peanut halves will clog the openings. The openings where the seed comes thru is rather small.

The Need for Clearance!

Remember it is the squirrel’s weight that triggers the closing mechanism. If a squirrel can reach over from a nearby foothold and avoid placing its weight on the feeder, it will be able to access the seed. Allow for at least 18 inches or 47 cm of clearance around the feeder. This will force the squirrel to climb onto the feeder triggering the closing mechanism.

How to use

Question:	What is cage height & diameter and wire spacing? I bought a small one with 1/4" spacing that's too small for peanuts and woodpeckers barely fit
Answer:	The feeder is about 12” tall and the bottom is about 15” circumference. I don’t know if the wire spacing is big enough for peanuts, depends on the size of the peanut. It is approximately 1/2” to 3/8” triangular opening. Hope this helps. Birds here live them!
Question:	Will hulled sunflower seeds stay inside the mesh
Answer:	I feed the birds a combination of seeds. They mostly stay inside the mesh... until they eventually come out the bottom tray. There, they are eaten. It works well.
Question:	What type bird food os best for this feeder
Answer:	not regular bird feed, after purchasing this feeder it sat a while because no seeds would fit, suet was too messy to insert, so i saw a bag of sunflower seeds for 50 cents and they worked,
Question:	Will niger seeds stay in this feeder
Answer:	I put Niger seeds in mine. The trick is to use a thick piece of paper, foil or plastic wrap around the cage first.

Question:	Will this keep out jays and starlings
Answer:	Maybe we need to consider the dog's chewing and destructive ability. Normally toys can last for months or even longer. Expect the black ball, the other three all are durable thick rubber and can be a chewing toys. You can guide your pet before the first playing.
Question:	Does this come with the bird food
Answer:	No. All parts are a hard plastic and so far seem to be very durable. The Busy Buddy screws apart in two places, allowing kibbles/treats (I mix about 1:10 treats:kibbles) to be put in it. It can hold a lot! And you can adjust how easily the pieces come out. This is one of Peter's favorite food/treat dispensing toys.

Answer:	My dog loves this toy. It is possible to adjust the opening where the food comes out. You can make the opening holes smaller or larger. I use this as a treat dispenser and a way for my dog to entertain herself. She loves the challange of getting the treats out. It could be used as a food dispenser for kibble, but I like it for her treats.The toy does roll and it is very easy to clean, all plastic, but durable. My dog is a medium size dog, 40 lbs and she will grab the mushroom in her mouth, carry it around, drop it on the floor, roll it, and chase it to get to the treats. I have several treat dispensing toys, and this is by far the favorite of both her and myself. I hope my anwer was helpful to you
Question:	What size suet cakes does this take
Answer:	The large holds 1 cup easily. The small holds about half a cup. That is filling the bottom half and then screwing the top on. If you fill the bottoms any fuller then the food gets in the way of the grooves and you can't screw the two halves together. I think each could hold another 1/2 cup or so if you closed the slots each time and filled the top half and screwed the bottom on while it was 'upside-down'. That would take more time.

About the placement of bird feeders

1. Choose terraces, gardens, grasslands that are easy for birds to reach, stand up to a height of about 1 meter, or fix it on a tree trunk

2. Try to choose the edge of the woods as much as possible, do not place them deep in the woods, one at a distance of about 30 meters is a suitable distance

3. Be aware that the birds may be alert at the beginning and dare not come to eat rashly. This requires a period of adaptation.
