Answer:	I would think so - I use it for seafood on the grill. It has accommodated large sea scallops and rather thick salmon filets without issue.
Question:	will small cut up pieces of veggies and meat stay inside when flipped? Like the size you would put on skewers
Answer:	I doubt it. I put whole asparagus spears in and they nearly fell out. Some were actually hanging out the side. Also the sliding lock slipped while flipping. This might be good for large items that fit snugly but anything else will try to come out. I returned the item. I now just put veggies on a sheet pan and that works pretty well.

Answer:	The basket is 9.5 inches 12.5 inches and 2 inches deep. You can hold very thin objects in it and items up to 2 inches thick. Handle from beginning to end of the basket is 2 feet/ 24 inches long. Very practical basket to grill many different types of foods.

Answer:	I use ours on the gas grill and I do fish in it, works very well. I have never used it over a fire. I would not use it for chopped veggies, they would definitely fall through.

Answer:	No, handle is not removable and it is way too long. I've actually melted mine putting the lid down on a big Weber! Cutting it down is a good idea. But it won't be easy because the handle is also the locking mechanism that keeps the top and bottom together.

Answer:	I own this one and I don't have any issues with that.
Question:	can I detach the handle while grilling to close the lid and attach it only when time to turn the food? it looks complicated to do while its all heated
Answer:	You can, however, you would need protection for your hands because after connecting the handle you then need to slide a metal piece that locks/secure a the handle to the grate so you can flip it over. I think the original design was suited for grilling without using the lid.

Question:	I would like to use to cook chicken, will this work
Answer:	It works great for chicken breast and drumsticks. If you use it for thighs, it's best to remove the skin first because the basket isn't roomy enough. I've used it for veggies and steaks too and it works fine. Can be a bit difficult to get clean, but I soak it in super hot soapy water and it makes cleanup a little easier. It is a time saver at the grill and that was a real plus for my husband.

Answer:	Yes, it is designed to be flipped over.
Question:	Can this basket accommodate thick foods, such as tuna or beef steaks
Answer:	I believe it would hold a medium piece of tuna or 1" (height) steak. We bought it to grill salmon and chopped veggies that might otherwise fall through the grate. So, our chopped veggies would go into the basket instead of on a skewer.

Answer:	I've never put mine into the dishwasher. One reason is it would take up too much space. Another reason is, it's very easy to clean at the sink. It has a wooden handle, so I don't know how that would stand up to repeated dishwasher use.

Answer:	Not removable, but you don't need this in the oven anyhow. Use a shallow oval baking dish instead. This is called a grill basket for a reason.

Answer:	Not likely, unless you were to put jumbo shrimp and 1 inch thick zucchini, then it'd be ok. I used mine for crawdad grilling and they fit perfect.

FOOD SIZE: The baskets inside height is .78" when closed. Food thicker than .78" such as a steak, will have a tighter fit but will still allow the basket to safely lock in place.

Answer:	Yes! If you have open flames or a hot enough heat source (if it is an electric fireplace). It works great over open fires indoor and out! Question:	Can this basket be used in a air fryer
Answer:	Don't know for sure. We have the basket, but have not invested in an air fryer as yet. I would suspect it would be safe because I use my basket directly over hot coals which I believe would be as hot as, if not hotter than, an air fryer temp. No need to answer, but will it fit inside an air fryer??
Question:	how big are the squares in the mesh
Answer:	Wellllll !! I haven't really measured them, but it looks about 1/2 inch. I use the basket for cooking rather large "chunks" of veggies (zucchinis, summer squash, onions, Bell peppers, and whatever else we may have> > even those small spuds (usually cut in half or quartered). All those chunks are put into one of our mixing bowls, add a bit of olive oil and your favorite herbs > > stir around to coat evenly > add to basket > spread around evenly. I use pretty hot coals. I also use the handle from my original basket to keep my little digits from cooking with the veggies. Shake the basket frequently to keep the veggies turning, the oil from flaming and the veggies from burning. Once cooked and/or charred to your liking, pull 'em out and enjoy!! Ciao. Keep BBQing!! Question:	Have you found that this basket rusts easy
Answer:	Not yet, but that's why I ordered one > > my original (a non-BBQ Masters) had rusted through in a few spots. Made grilling vegie bits a bit problematic. I use the basket for vegie 'chunks' > > onions, small mushroom caps, summer squash, zucchini, et al. After cutting up the veggies, I put in a large mixing bowl, sprinkle with olive oil, salt, pepper, spices (your favorites, whatever they may be) then into the basket. The basket has been lightly pre-sprayed with cooking oil. Hold the basket a few inches over hot coals until veggies are roasted (slightly browned around the edges > some of mine are a bit more than browned, but hey, they're all good!!) I use the metal loop-handle that came with the original basket. It's about 8-9 inched long, open on one end, loop on the other. The open end tips are bent in an open C shape. The tips are inserted over and then under the basket handles and the C tips are inserted through the screen mesh; they kinda point upwards. You can hold the basket this way without browning the finger tips > > glove still recommended. I plan to make my own 'handle' from some 1/8"± steel stock from my local big-box store. Question:	Is it 12 x 12 at the top rim or the bottom area
Answer:	The top. The bottom is about 9 X 9. It seems to hold plenty of my veggies for roasting. I mix bell pepper (any or all colors), onion, mushroom caps, zucchini, and other veggies chopped into large chunks, put in a mixing bowl, add a bit of Olive Oil, add some of my favorite spices (oregano, sage, etc., etc.) mix well and roast over pretty hot coals. Yummy with almost any meat !
