Answer:	The skewers have their own little space. There's 8 small straps that hold them in place. The cleaning brush only has two straps and it's sized bigger for the size of the cleaning brush. It wouldn't fit.

Answer:	Hi, OXO claims that the components are stainless steel and it looks like that is the case to me. It is a very good product, I'm really happy with both the tongs and the spatula. The grips are sort of a hard rubber - very comfortable and ergonomic. I highly recommend this as a solid choice for utensils.
