Question:	Are the silicone pads heat conductive
Answer:	They are hot when you take them out of the oven. It takes a little while to cool down after removing them from the cookie sheets. They cool down much faster then any cookie sheet. They work so much better than parchment paper, don’t turn brown like the paper. I used them over and over again while making Christmas Cookies. After Cooling, put the cookie dough on the pads, as soon as the oven was empty back in the cookie sheet and in the oven. It made cooking 6 dozen cookies faster because I did not wait for the cookie sheet to cool all the way down.
Question:	Are These ok to use on an induction cooktop to help pans from sliding
Answer:	These answers are wrong. Induction does work with silicon mats. You do need to have proper metal pans, but induction does conduct thru the silicon. Have been using them with success to minimize mess on cooktop and prevent scratching from bottom of pans. Would not use them on extreme high setting for a long time. But simmering and normal cooking work fine with a quality mat.
Question:	can you cut these to fit pan
Answer:	None of them apparently fit standard pans. I'm cutting one to find out if they can be cut. If you do before me, please let me know.

Answer:	I assume so since they are silicon, not plastic. I researched it and found this: “While not a “100% natural” material like rubber, food-grade silicone is a non-toxic polymer mostly made from silica (sand). Question:	If you cut around vents,can they be placed on floor of gas ovens
Answer:	I have read that none of these type of sheets should be placed directly on the floor of any oven. I placed my extra rack as close to the bottom as possible (in my electric oven) and have the mat on that - works great.

Answer:	Yes, you can. Just make sure you do not block any holes in the bottom. I also have a gas oven. It is easy clean up with either a sponge or take it out and rinse it.

Answer:	if it is electric oven you may put it up to 500 f*, if it is a gas oven it will be melted if it will get in touch with the fire,

Answer:	hello Emily. You can use it to make anything you want. Fish, meat, veggies are all can be done on our mat without oil too. The only constraint is the temperature. Answer:	I have 2 Silpat baking mats and I just bought 2 baking mats from DI ORO. Been a long time fan of Silpat, but I have to say that my new DI ORO mats are much nicer. They seem to hold up better than my Silpats and I like the DI ORO design better.

Answer:	Your Silpat will eventually turn a brownish color after using it a lot. Your Silpat will still be nonstick and safe to keep using. I've had customers who have had their Silpat for 10 years and it's almost black! Still used it and it worked just fine. Some people have found that if it's not too dark, you can put it in the sun and it will lighten up again. Is it stained in one spot or all over? Answer:	Live dangerously, put it in the dishwasher. I use my Silpats with lots of recipes with olive oil, they feel extra greasy because of that. Question:	Can these be used on induction cooktops
Answer:	Induction cooktops need metal contact to induce heat to the pan, this liner would not be used on an induction burner as the contact would not work. This is to line ovens, microwave ovens, toaster ovens, and you use them to line the bottom of each of those items. I imagine you could use them to line the pans of gas or electric stove top burners, but not induction burners.
Question:	which side goes down
Answer:	They are pretty much the same each side. If one side is lighter than the other, that's the one that goes on the bottom. But it doesn't matter because the piece is the same.
Question:	can liners be left in toaster oven between use
Answer:	I leave mine at the bottom of the oven and toaster oven... I only remove them to clean them and return. To clean I usually rub with a sponge with a little soap, rinse, dry and place back in both the oven and toaster oven.
Question:	Where do you place the liner, underneath the the element in the electric oven
Answer:	Yes,If you have a heating element on the bottom of the oven, you can lift it and put the liner under it. The newer ovens have no obvious heating element (its underneath the floor of the oven so in that instance put it on the shelf at the lowest position in the oven. Answer:	I know three people said yes but the answer is no. The inside is fiberglass which will be exposed to your food if you cut the outer layers. It’s highly warned against on all of these products’ websites. Good luck in your search!
