Answer: The Cherokee comes with an ash tray which slides out of the right hand side of the grill at the back. This serves the same purpose as the drip tray. Any debris that is on the glass is scraped to the back of the glass into this tray then removed.

Answer: A great grill, however what needs to be considered and not mentioned by dealer, those glass panels only last 2-3 years (Company estimate) before breaking. The panels currently (2019) cost $100 plus shipping. I purchased a G-Series 11/2003 and have replaced 10 thermal glass plates. The grill gets little use, two people at a second home. This has only been an inconvenience in that the "Life time warranty" covered all but shipping for 16 years. My warranty has reached the end of life apparently. TEC no longer will honer the warranty and I must pay for replacement glass.

Answer: I bought one of these and the first Time I used it it broke from the heat . they replaced it and I returned it and the next one broke again . I then bought a much heavier one with the 4 removable grills , I have had no issues with that one . I think the cast iron is too thin on this model to withstand the heat . Cant answer your real question but it does fit the 22 inch grills .

Answer: Yes they need a battery. We use ours year round so I put a lithium battery which works great in the winter.
