Question: | What parts will i need to hook-up this 57282 hose to my baby q weber grill? I have the quick disconnect and valve on my motorhome |
Answer: | If your grill has a regulator on it, you will probably have to remove it and replace it with a male quick disconnect fitting to receive the female end of the hose. There are quite a few links on line that discuss this procedure and the parts required. I suggest you check them and the Weber owners site first to ensure that the hose will work with your application. |
Question: | I have a quick connect outside my travel trailer. Will this work with a Camp Chef Weekender 2 Burner Stove |
Answer: | Andrew,If the quick connect is standard fitting it will connect to your trailer. I'm not familiar with the Camp Chef Weekender 2 burner stove. If the camp stove does not have a male style quick connect you will need to buy it to connect to the 2 burner stove. I did it backwards I orderd the hose made sure it fit into trailer then you will need a male thread on type which thread type you will have to match what is on the Camco 5782 female side to your Camp Chef 2 burner. I hope I was helpful. |
Question: | Does the f quick disconnect unscrew from the hose |
Answer: | Any updates? Can the female quick disconnect can be removed from the hose? |
Question: | is this 1/4" or 3/8" hose & fittings |
Answer: | It looks like it has 1/4 NPT on the fitting screwing into the female quick connect. I would say 1/4 hose the OD is about 1/2" |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this run on a 20 lb propane tank? I need a unit for my home when the power goes out |
Answer: | Yes, that's what we use. We have two Wave 6 heaters and a Wave 3 in our van conversion. We use a 12lb propane cylinder in the van. |
Question: | How much water vapor does this unit create |
Answer: | I live in the desert Southwest, so there generally isn't any except a small amount of condensation on the windows-maybe. When it rains, there is still just a negligible amount. Back East or in more humid climes, I imagine there could be more. |
Question: | suggestion for hose please, need to connect to my existing gas line inside my trailer. I pulled the old furnace out, so have copper pipe connection TY |
Answer: | Hey Nick. I used a regular flexible LP gas line that I had originally made for an auxiliary propane bottle. Whatever you use, make sure it's rated for Liquid propane. The Wave website can supply you with the fitting sizes for the heater if you need them. I don't remember them off the top of my head. We installed 3 of these in our coach and they are great heaters. Question: | How can I connect this unit to a disposable 1-lb propane cannister |
Answer: | You don't. |

Also the Camco products were just installed after I had a leak not from the unit itself but from a brass fitting connected to the pipe coming out of the bottom of the unit. I only found out about the product after the damage occurred & had them installed. Sorry I couldn’t help. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can this be used to replace the original rod from the camco hybrid heat kit |
Answer: | All brass, contains lead you can't take it out. This item is below the lead leavels that the federal government allows. This is drinking water safe. |
Question: | Does this rod fit a surburban water heater |
Answer: | It would have to be larger than the ears on the drain valve to fit. I never used a hose to drain the tank, just open up and drain out it won't hurt anything on the pan and will run off the side of the coach. I sold my trailer so I can't measure the size .Sorry |
Question: | Does this product contain lead |
Answer: | This hose doesn’t make the water warm. The warming part keeps the hose from freezing in cold climates. For hot water added to a pool, hook a water hose to your hot water tank and turn it on. CAUTION. IT WILL BE HOT!!!!!! So you’ll need to add cool/cold water as well. |
Question: | what size hose fits the pet cock valve |
Answer: | I cannot advise what the difference maybe. But I and my friend purchased the 22912 and worked great. We used it in 6 inches of snow and my water supply did not freeze. I hope this helps your decision. |

User questions & answers
Question: | should i use some gas line pipe thread tap when installing it on the heater |
Answer: | No, tape is not necessary as this is a flare fitting. This may be obvious but... when installing make sure you have the proper alignment of the elbow before tightening. This is a "fixed 90" once tightened, not a swivel as it may appear. |
Question: | Will this swivel even after the fitting is tightened down? Looking to mount Wave 3 on wall and allow it to swivel off the wall while connected. Thanks |
Answer: | Once the fitting is tightened down, it does not swivel. |
Question: | Will this work on propane grills, too |
Answer: | That would depend on the grill, if you're grill has this type and size of a flared fitting, then yes. |
Question: | I just ordered a camco wave 3 heater. Is this part necessary? Thanks |
Answer: | Makes it a lot easier to connect a propane line and control the angle it comes into the heater. The alternative is multiple connectors to do what this one connector does. |

- No butane to refill
- Makes tough lighting jobs easy
- 7" curved lighting pipe
- Designed exclusively for lighting gas appliances
- Uses one C battery (included)
User questions & answers
Question: | Does anyone know the diameter of the end of the tube where the spark comes out |
Answer: | The end of the tube is 3/8'' |
Question: | Can rechargeable batteries be used |
Answer: | The instructions say nothing about battery type; an ordinary "C" battery, off-brand, is supplied with the unit. I believe a rechargeable "C" battery would work, but I haven't tried (don't have any around the house). It has always worked perfectly, though I haven't used mine much; if the rechargeable puts out the same voltage, there should be no problem, though spark might fail as the battery's voltage falls off. I store the unit separate from its battery because (1) all batteries leak eventually, and (2) I don't trust an igniter like this stored ready to spark. |
Question: | Will this work in the end.. to light cotton balls with Vaseline |
Answer: | No, there is no flame. |
Question: | If this device already has a Piezo crystal to generate the spark, what is the C-Cell battery for |
Answer: | Despite claims, there is absolutely NO PIEZO crystal in this product. It has a circuit that boosts the 1.5 volt battery to a voltage high enough to create a spark. It produces about 8 sparks per second depending on the state of the battery, and how clean the battery contacts are. BTW the 1.5 voltage of a "C" cell, is not enough to light an LED directly, which is probably why the outmoded filament flashlight bulb is used. The overall design is atavistic but reliable, although the bulb has a limited lifespan. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the minimum inlet pressure for this valve to open and regulate? it gets to -35f here so my lp pressure goes down to 10 psi from the tank |
Answer: | I have this 59313 regulator in my RV. I also have a permanent site for the winter. A local propane supplier dropped a 120 Gallon tank next to our rig for us, and installed a 10PSI regulator on the tank, then routed a hose through the 59313. I was unable to adjust this regulator to hold 11"W.C. with the furnace running. We also tried replacing their 10PSI reg. with a 30PSI one. Again I was unable to achieve 11"W.C. with appliances running. This regulator worked fine when bypassing any pre-regulators in our system, but we don't see -35 here. Lowest temp has been -6F. |
Question: | Can this be used w/ a ProCom Blue Flame Vent-Free Wall Heater - 30,000 BTU. I have a large outdoor propane tank attached to the water heater & furnace |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | Have 100# LP tank for off-grid LP stove, will get this and Pro-Flex PFSAGK-2000 1/2" install kit. What fitting do I need to get connect to hose kit |
Answer: | all you need is a two stage regulator for 100 pound tank cant use single and get 3/8 hose the length you need ...the hose plugs striaght into the regulator and the heater if you need the fitting for your heater you can buy that only at hardware store.they will know what you need..goes in bottom of heater and they will have a secondary shut off valve good for not havin to go outside to turn off gas..hope this helps.. |
Question: | Can this be used to hook up a propane tank for gas stove |
Answer: | Ask a local propane supplier. Double stage is necessary for anything indoors. Double stage is MUCH safer. |
