Answer: | I came up with a crude way to estimate how much fuel I have used thus far. Propane weighs about 4.24 pounds per gallon. The tank weight is about 17 pounds. I have run my new smoker for about 12 hours so far and have used about 4 pounds, and have about 9 pounds remaining, so that rounds out to be about .33 pounds per hour, and my smoker was set at the lowest flame setting. So I have about 27 hours remaining in the tank.A word of caution about tank exchanges! I had to exchange tanks because mine was too old, so I exchanged 2 tanks. Upon weighing each, I found that there was only 13 pounds of fuel in each tank. So, keep that in mind if you use the exchange program. When you refill a tank, you should end up with about 20 pounds of fuel +/-, so it is pretty obvious that while the exchange program is often more convenient than going to a refill station, you will get more fuel, and longer use out of a tank that you have had refilled at a fill station.I used a bathroom scale, so my results are not perfect, but should give you an idea of what to expect. |

Answer: | Not difficult. The racks, drip pan and chip box come out and can be cleaned in your sink or dishwasher. The inside of the smoker is gradually "cured" by the smoke and will take on a dark coating. You can clean this like you would an oven, but you really don't need to. I do recommend that you clean the smoke coating from the glass window each time so you can see the meat cooking. This can be cleaned with soap and water, or with a non abrasive cleaner. Be sure to get all of the cleaner off the smoker so you don't have any issues with the cleaner adding unwanted flavors to the next cooking. |

Answer: | Virginia? I smoked in a N.Y. winter. It did ok, took a bit longer, may just have to add a bit more water to compensate for the time. |

Answer: | I am a professional smoker, restaurant owner. 20 yrs smoking meat, 15 yrs of restaurant. I have safe food handling certification. Taking that much time, and smoking a turkey that big are both dangerous. Slow n low are not safe with turkeys or chickens. I smoke about 100 Turkey's every year, bulk at thanksgiving. I use no bigger than 15 lb birds, and have them done in 4 hours. Salmonila should be a concern |

Answer: | Never has happened to me. Try another supply and see what happens. GFI's are sometimes kinda finicky, but if it's tripping a circuit, it could be a bad smoker, or a weak circuit breaker. |

Answer: | When I turn my ZGrill to smoke it averages from 190-220 degrees. It will produce a lot of smoke at first, then it will cycle smoke every 10 minutes or so. I have cooked all kinds of meat on the grill, and it works good on ribs using the 3-2-1 routine. (3 hrs smoke, 2 hrs wrapped, 1 hr with sauce) |

Answer: | The hopper is sealed, but I would not use it in the rain, in fear that the pellets would get wet. I suspect that trying to clean the hopper of wet and deteriorated pellets would be extremely time consuming. |
