User questions & answers

Question: Does this work with a Bernzomatic 16.4 oz propane cylinder
Answer: Only the size. 187 sq. inches for standard and 190 sq. inches for deluxe.I used it with this grill mat and felt better:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06ZXSLQ94?m=A2ABDSJKYC7IR&ref_=v_sp_widget_detail_pageIt keeps the food juicy and definitely allows you to get a good sear on any steaks you throw it's way.
Question: Can i use this with the natural gas line installed on my deck designed for larger grills
Answer: If it is windy, consider some additional shielding from the wind near the grill.Make sure the bottom heat shield under the burner is properly installed. I've occasionally had to play with mine a little to reduce the air flow when it is windy.Rotate the vents on the lid so they are away from the wind . This creates less turbulent air currents inside the grill.Run increased gas flows- it will have less tendency to lean out.Check for obstructions going into the burner by the regulator. Make sure all of the shielding is correct. Make sure the regulator is fully inserted. Install it without a bottle on it. It goes in upside down then turns into place. I tend to use the slim tall bottles so I can leave my bottle on. Those fit inside the grill for storage after use too.
Question: What is the difference between the standard and deluxe
Answer: Yes, you would need to purchase the Camp Chief 3 Burner propane unit to be able to use it.
Question: I'm trying to grill a couple burgers on this thing, and it doesn't appear to be staying lit when the lid is down... Any thoughts on this problem
Answer: It is better, in my opinion. As was said before, it is less likely to break, and it fits several Camp Chef stoves, perfectly. I use it over two of the burners on my Big Gas 3 stove, and it works great.
