Answer:	I have not used in fireplace but I see no reason they wouldn’t work. They last about 5-10 minutes. In my Egg I use one and it works fine. I would try 2 in fireplace maybe 6 inches apart.

Answer:	When using with a chimney, I light the cube on the bottom of the BBQ and then place the chimney right on top of it. Works great and you have red coals in no time!

Answer:	Starting campfires is precisely the reason I purchased these in the first place... They work like a charm, in fact, much better than kindling because very small pieces of wood incinerate quickly where this has a nice slow burn which will help get your fire started. Here's a piece of advice, if you're not already doing so dig a small hole at the bottom of your fire pit to shield wind from these cubes. It's just about the only drawback of these things that I can say. Their heat is not intense and are prone to being blown out in the right wind conditions. If you just having small campfires these things are fantastic. Hope this helps.

Answer:	The parafin wax does not seem to be affected much by time in my experience. I have had great success despite having packages open for many months. These older cubes lit and burned without issue.
