Answer:	Depends on the power you want to deal with. A higher voltage battery bank will let you deal with more power in the panels since the controllers are amp limited. Just get a controller that will do the voltage. MPPT will get you 15-25% more power from your panels. Also If you are using lithium batteries you need a charger that you can set charging voltages manually.
Question:	when it says 100 watts, is that per hour, per a number of hours, how does that work
Answer:	Let's do some quick math, 100 watts in full sunlight on a summer day for 6 hours is 600 watt hours input to a 12 volt 100 amp hour battery. 600 / 12 volts is 50 amp hours. If you have a 100 amp hour battery and your final voltage when the sun goes down is 12 .6 volts you have a somewhat new lead acid battery. At 12.6 volts A new battery will give you all 100 amp hours of it's capacity by the time it reaches 12.0 volts. A 3000 watt inverter at 120 volts produces / uses 25 amps. 25 * 60 mins = 1500 amp hrs * 24 hrs = 36000 amp hours per day to feed the monster. Don't try too cheat the math it has no conscience, I can't afford the batteries yet. The only argument anyone can offer is you don't use it all 24 hours do you?, Bet me!

We also used VHB tape under the brackets, 3M VHB Tape 4991, 0.5 in width x 5 yd length (1 Roll). Question:	I hard wired into my 86 coachmans rv inverter. No power. What could be the issue
Answer:	First of all check that you are getting power from the panel/panels themselves, you should get around 16-18 volts per panel.If you are, then assuming you have only one panel check to see that the voltage is adequate for the input voltage of your inverter if it is then you have an inverter issue.Note: For RV use I am assuming you would need to have a battery and solar panel controller inline to your inverter , YOU can only HARD WIRE these panels directly to a GRID TIE INVERTER . I am pretty sure the inverter in your rv is not a grid tie so you would not be able to hard wire them to the inverter IE: directly from panel to inverter.

Answer:	I have 2 Renogy panels purchased from Amazon in November last year. I can confirm that they do indeed have a double wall frame per the Renology diagram, and per a previous answer to this question. The aluminum frame is about 0.05 inches thick with a 0.1 inch space between layers (probably 18 gauge). However the HQST pictures appear exactly the same as my Renogy panels (including small vent holes between the frame layers). Given one HQST reviewers problem (see pictures) with the caulking failure I am worried that the HQST I’d not double wall. I plan to buy more panels and would like conformation of this.

Question:	can this charge a solar generator
Answer:	In general yes, it can recharge the battery in a solar generator. If the system requires 12 volts, the solar panel provides 17 volts so it can "charge" the battery. Nothing happens it battery is pushing "back" at the same voltage that the solar panel is trying to push "forward" at. If the solar generator requires 24 volts, one has to get two solar panels and put them in a chain or series to provide 17 times 2 or 34 volts.
Question:	Do you think this could be mounted on a cargo box - and withstand road speeds
Answer:	I know of one customer that added 2x110W SunPower E-flex panels to their Thule cargo box and they haven't called us to say they blew off! Not sure what they used but 3M does a VHB tape (Very High Bond) or Eternabond tape is popular with RVers. There's a variety of install options.

Answer:	If you have a 12V nominal battery bank you could pair 4x110W panels (in series or parallel) with the Victron MPPT SmartSolar 100/50. You could see up to around 38A on the output from the controller in colder temperatures when the panels perform better.

Answer:	The solar panel is used to charge a 12 volt deep cycle battery. The battery is then connected to an inverter power supply that converts 12 volts dc to 120 volts ac. The answer to your question is no it will not power the shed by itself. The more batteries you use the more power you can store. One battery and a 1000 watt inverter should power a light and small power tools.

Perfect for marine use or placement on top of a van or vehicle, the Renogy 100W Lightweight Solar Panel is thin and capable of flexing up to 248 degrees. At 4 pounds, this flexible solar panel weighs only a quarter of its traditional 100W counterpart. Highly flexible, this lightweight panel can easily be installed on curved surfaces. This panel can also be used for other various applications, including providing power on a boat or teardrop trailer.



Mounting Recommendation: Modules must be mounted using silicone structural adhesive on the backside of the panel, grommets are only to be used for non-mobile applications. For detailed installation methods, please consult a local contractor for guidance.

Question:	Why is the wire on the pos side so short? I’m having trouble finding branch connectors long enough to connect two panels
Answer:	Agreed. Makes no sense to have one cable so short. It also makes no sense to have diodes in opposite directions. Connecting 2 panels is a pain in the ass trying to find branch connectors. Renogy geniuses at work.

Question:	Can I use this to charge jackery
Answer:	Absolutely. I charge my Flashfish 300W and it provides for basic lights and equipment use. I can use lights, pump, water heater, printer, laptop and phone all from my daily charge.
Question:	How do i attach panel to a fabric bimini. i didn’t realize there are not any holes in edges of panel before i purchased
Answer:	Bought two panels after using cardboard cut-and-tapes to posted dimensions to check fit on bimini. Checked cable route and run length with rope. Received the panels/cables and laid them out on bimini for 2nd fit check, positioned and outlined with chalk. Removed the bimini and a friend sewed two-inch velco hook tape onto the bimini, just inside of the chalk lines while I glued the opposing two inch wide loop tape around the perimeter of the panel bottoms using Marine Goop adhesive and putty knife. Waited two days for the adhesive to cure and while waiting, mounted the 100/30 Blue Solar charge controller, connected that to the battery ACR (automatic charge relay charging both house and start batts) and then connected the pre-measured panel cables. Then put the bimini back up, dropped the panels on (covered them with a towel to reduce chance of shock) and plugged them in! Removed the towels and watched as my batter monitor showed amps flowing into my batts! Those panels are on there good, but can still be removed for whatever reason. Sewing job on bimini and adhesive on panels have not budged in winds up to 30 kts, so far.

Question:	dimensions of the panel
Answer:	Why is there 4 answers for a physical dimension? The picture shows one, a customer measured his about that, but the spec sheet and seller say a much different number. Please check again.

Answer:	this kit CAN BE upgraded, by buying a different brand. the charge controller is junk. it will not charge my battery that is less that 10% drained.

Answer:	this kit will work way beyond that as long as you have enough batteries to hook it up to.it can charge your van battery and run 12 volt appliances through your cigarette lighter or run 120 volt appliances with an inverter that can handle the amount of watts you want to use.be careful of sensitive electronics while using a cheap inverter.you may need a sine wave inverter.i would highly recommend a good group of deep cycle batteries.the more batteries the more you can run.check out youtube for lots of answers.hope I was able to help
Question:	How many amps are charging the battery while inuse, on a sunny day
Answer:	I purchased this system to act as a 'test bed' prior to buying my main dual-axis 2 panel system (Two 250W, 24V 8A panels). It's a monocrystilline 100w panel stated to output 5 amps, 12volts. I see consistent 13~14 volts at 4 amps, and have hit 5 amps on really good days (but 4A are more realistic). As a test item, I had it charging a 73AH Deep Cycle Gel battery from West Marine (the panel came with a 30A PWM charge controller). It worked fine and charged the battery in a matter of short hours ( I have both an amp meter and a volt meter connected to track its output). Previously, I was using two 45W amorphous panels (Harbor Freight) that took up to 4 days to do what this one panel can do in 4 hours. Buy with confidence.

Answer:	Yes you can use longer cables. Use minimum 8 gauge to get the maximum power out of the units.
Question:	Are alligator clips and cord included
Answer:	They include "Battery Terminal Clips" . Larger than "alligator clips. THis is a very nice system, although pretty heavy. The cover is very thin and offers little protection. The Cord is approximately 8 feet long. Make sure you hook to battery first, before you connect the terminals from the solar panels to the controller.

1. Q: Why the solar can not produce 100W power when charging to ROCKPALS power station?

A: As you know , the solar panels are affected by many factors: such as the light intensity and the panel's angle put on the ground. 100w is tested in an ideal laboratory. However, the intensity of the light constantly changes. In addition, the angel of the light illuminating the solar panel also changes with the rotation of the sun.
