Answer: | On MPPT and PMI controllers of different brands, RFI particularly in the VHF & UHF bands can be extreme. The solar panels do act as large antennas transmitting the interference. Some fairly simple decoupling circuitry can help. Right at the PV input, i've used a large forward diode into a large, CPU-grade electrolytic along with common-mode chokes on wiring before the diode. On the controller outputs, a "Corcom" type pi-filter helps a lot, but components in series with the output must accept full output current without much voltage drop. This can get rid of about 99% of RFI without too much problem. I do use solar and wind turbines for power at my off-grid property and run amateur radio equipment from 70 cm to 160 meter bands. |

Answer: | I purchased this system to act as a 'test bed' prior to buying my main dual-axis 2 panel system (Two 250W, 24V 8A panels). It's a monocrystilline 100w panel stated to output 5 amps, 12volts. I see consistent 13~14 volts at 4 amps, and have hit 5 amps on really good days (but 4A are more realistic). As a test item, I had it charging a 73AH Deep Cycle Gel battery from West Marine (the panel came with a 30A PWM charge controller). It worked fine and charged the battery in a matter of short hours ( I have both an amp meter and a volt meter connected to track its output). Previously, I was using two 45W amorphous panels (Harbor Freight) that took up to 4 days to do what this one panel can do in 4 hours. Buy with confidence. |

Safety Instructions: A) Make sure your BAT has enough voltage for the waterproof solar charge controller to recognize the batteries type before first installation and only sufficient voltage can charge or activate the controller. That means it won't charge or activate when hooked to a dead or low-voltage BAT, or connecting only with PV but without BAT
B) The connection cable should be as short as possible to minimize loss.
C) The solar regulator is only suitable for lead acid batteries: OPEN,AGM, GEL It is not suited for nickel metal hydride, lithium ions or other batteries.
D) The charge regulator is only suitable for regulating PV. Never connect another charging source to the charge regulator.
How to connect solar system with the controller:
Step 1: Connect the BAT to the solar charge controller firstly- plus and minus.(it will auto adapts to the BAT voltage)
Step 2: Connect the load to the controller secondly.
Step 3: Connect the PV to the controller finally - plus and minus.

Answer: | This is an MPPT controller. It will take input voltages up to 100v and will output 14.* or 28.* volts to the charge side, depending on the battery system you have. It will automatically determine if you have a 12 or 24 volt system. Where would you want to send 20 volts?. An MPPT controller will automatically adjust its output to give you the highest wattage it can. |

Answer: | This inverter system and remote switch provided is a "manual only" simple push button on/off switch, with a power on light and a "fault" light on the remote switch plate. The power usage display is on the inverter. The remote switch uses a 150 volt rated 4 prong wire, with telephone style connectors on both ends (15 foot is provided). This unit is designed as a manual only push button on/off system but that being said, a power failure system could be wired using a series of relays to activate the on/off side of the switch (2 wires) but you would have to design the relay system yourself to make it work. |

Answer: | In my system the charge controller is between the Solar Panel and the batteries. The inverter is between the batteries and the point of use. That would mean the charge controller charges the battieries and the inverter drains them. They have no direct interaction except the storage batteries. I have no experience trying to connect the Solar Panels directly to the point of use without a battery bank between them. |

Connection Step: Connect the system in the order of 1.battery-->2. load-->3.PV array, and disconnect the system in the reverse order 3. 2. 1.
CAUTION:
- Never connect the soalr panel array to the controller Without/Before a Battery.
- Battery must be connected first !!!
- DO NOT connect any inverter/ wind/Alternator or Charger into the charge controller!
- While wiring the controller do not close the circuit breaker or fuse and make sure that the leads of "+" and "-" poles are connected correctly.

- If the controller is to be used in an area with frequent lightning strikes or unattended area, it must be installed an external surge arrester.
- A fuse which current is 1.25 to 2 times the rated current of the controller, must be installed on the battery side with a distance from the battery not greater than 150 mm.
- The controller can full load working in the working environment temperature, When the internal temperature is 81℃, the reducing power charging mode is turned on.

Answer: | If you're speaking of the 10 amp charge controller, it should work but it will take a long time to charge the battery if it's used very often. It will charge it but the maximum current you have available is less than a quarter of an amp. You can double the current (amps) by putting panels in parallel, but your panels are 9 volts and would only put out the voltage required to charge the battery if they were in direct sunlight (straight on to the sun, not with the sun at an angle). And as KK said, you can get a smaller charge controller for less money. You can find complete systems designed exactly this purpose that are portable and self contained. I started out with a folding portable120 watt system with two 60 watt 12 volt panels, a built in 20 amp charge controller and a 100 AH 12 volt battery for a little over 200 dollars. (I recently added an extra battery that cost me $189 for the battery alone!) So yes, it will work, but I would suggest getting a standard 12 volt panel and not using the very tiny 2 watt 9 volt panels. They can be put to better use for another purpose. They're really too small to efficiently charge a 12 volt battery. It would probably be able to maintain a charge, if the battery is not used very often, but it wouldn't charge it very fast if it were drained down any through use. This controller and a 50 watt 12 volt panel would be good, supplying you with around 4 amps charging current (in full sun) instead of less than a quarter of an amp (again in full sun) you have available now. You will also have room to grow, adding extra panels and a larger battery later. |

Answer: | I don't think this was intended to charge a lithium battery. It is used to charge Deep Cycle 12 V. or perhaps 24 V. batteries for RVs from a solar charger. For lithium battery recharge, I'm pretty sure you need a very different device! |
