Answer:	The 8-quart pot's bottom is rounded, so I measured from the point where the bottom is flat and would touch the surface on which it resets. Using that method, the bottom of the pot is almost exactly 10 inches in diameter.

Question:	Are they sturdy or heavy? I personally like heavy cookwares. Do the handles get hot
Answer:	The handle doesn't get hot. The skillet seems durable, but is not heavy.
Question:	Can it be used on a gas grill on medium high heat? We plan on frying fish outside
Answer:	A little information guide for the user was included. Among other things, it says not to use butter or olive oil because they smoke at a lower temperature. They recommend canola, Safflower, peanut and palm oils. Now I will quote. "Alllow the oil/butter to heat up in the pan before adding food to the cookware. DO NOT rush the preheating process by using high heat. Because of the excellent heat conductivity of your OXO cookware, food and oil can carbonize very rapidly. Always cook on low to medium heat and only use high heat for boiling liquids. Use medium-high heat for searing, sauteing, stir-frying and reducing liquids. Use low heat to warm foods, simmer or for preparing delicate sauces. DO NOT use any typeof oil sprays, including aerosols, mist and pump sprays. These sprays can cause residue build-up that is difficult to remove from all types of cookware. Always distribute the oil evenly onto the surface of the cookware. Use the 'butter test' to determine whether your OXO cookware is hot enough--simply wipe a dab of butter on the bottom of the cookware. If it bubbles briskly without burning, your OXO cookware is perfectly preheated."I myself have only used it to make pancakes. I also disobeyed instructions by using a metal spatula. Question:	What's the diameter of these hair ties
Answer:	It means that the bottom of the pot is ferrous and is affected by magnets. Induction heating uses an alternating magnetic fields to create heat. Rather than using a hot coil like with an electric stove or a hot flame like with natural gas, induction heaters stay relatively cool and transfer heat via magnetism. The pot will work fine with electric and natural gas heat (I've used mine with a propane burner, too), of course, but it also gives you the option of using induction heat.

Question:	I am so sick of reading a label and cannot find the dilution rate!!!! i would not buy this again
Answer:	For driveway weeds & grass I use 4.5oz of the 50% concentrate for 2-gallons of water and use 1/2 that for spraying around bushes - I spray very lightly around bushes and try to get grasses and weeds while they are very short - follow the manufacturer warnings and suggested dilutions in the printed material attached - these are the dilutions I have found useful for me with the 50% concentration - no idea what will work for anyone else. I am not a professional so really can't recommend applications for anyone else. And I always use protection to keep the chemicals off any exposed skin.
Question:	I have a 4 gal backpack sprayer. how much round up do I need to mix to kill grass? I tried a oz per gallon buy no luck
Answer:	I also have a 4 gallon backpack sprayer. I have been using my backpack sprayer with this product every 4 to 6 weeks for about 2 years now. I only add 8oz to my backpack sprayer (2oz per gallon) and I get great results.
Question:	will this kill thistle weed
Answer:	Yes and very effectively! From the label: Artichoke Thistle and Russian Thistle use a 1.5% (2oz per gallon) concentration. I'm guessing you have the most common species which is Russian Thistle as do I and I've used Roundup to kill it for years with great success. In fact after two seasons of Roundup use its been eliminated (no recurrence) from all my open areas. If you have thistles growing amongst your desirable plants I suggest you either pull them or cut off the flowering heads before they release their "seed". If you do this then treat the area with a pre-emergent like Surflan-AS you will eliminate recurrence within a season or two.
Question:	Will this kill bamboo? Anyone tried
Answer:	Cut the stalk leaving enough of the hollow portion to pour in 1Tablespoon of the 50% concentrate undiluted. This needs to be done as you cut each stalk (according to Mississippi C. Extension Office within 10 seconds the absorption ceases) I add a little more for larger diameter stalks and little lesser amount for smaller ones. I'm not quick enough for the ten second rule when cutting with a chain saw and stopping to do the application but the alternative to digging up the root ball and root system is labor intensive that requires allot of strength, especially if you have several acres of this nightmare! Spray full strength on any exposed root runners that you may see. Don't expect that this will kill all the rhizomes. A regrowth will occur but a at much smaller size like a small bush. I've been successful in killing these with a much lower concentrate but spray all the leaves, top included. Again, you may have to go back and spray as second maybe a third as another regrowth starts over again. Spring or Summer is best time, but anything you do to harm the plant is better than waiting. I've noticed the chemical absorption does not happen within few minutes, sometimes takes several days for osmosis to occur. Since it rains here almost every day and not wanting the chemical to dilute, I cover the stalks. Be patient, it may take more than seven days for signs of the bushy regrowth to start turning brown and maybe two weeks to die completely. If you can't cut all your bamboo stand, at least step on and damage new larger stalk growth when flushing in the spring. They are easily pulled up or killed when at this stage of growth and is one less stalk to kill later and thins out the stand for the future eradication as some of the older growth dies as well. A sharp pick/hoe is useful to damage the smaller roots that lay just below the surface (Anything that can damage the plant is your friend, just don't use a nuclear bomb)
