Both times I received a new unit under warranty but the postage to return these sprinklers is high and the warranty doesn't cover that. I suspect many people don't take the time and money it takes to return them. I have not had any problems with the adjustments and I also change them often. Hope this helps. |

| Answer: | On mine, it was indeed that black button at the end -- the first time i needed to use pliers to unscrew it, but now it's easier. As others note, however, it's nothing more than a little plastic pin -- so any other pin or paper clip can just as easily be used. |

| Answer: | Yes. It has three push-in buttons on each side that allow you to adjust the width of the spray. The depth is adjusted with a lever on one end. The tool to clean the holes is part of the body and screws in next to the depth adjustment lever. It's the best sprinkler I've ever used. |
